Also, anyone know at what rpm the 2 stage cam timing kicks in? It's obviously noticeable at 3500rpm, but where is the second?

YES! actually we did go that way. It was rainy and windy with a ton of construction. From Kamloops to hope it seemed like the speed limit was irrelevant. I took my time since I enjoy new sites.

In the product description it says it's for '12-14 Tacomas left side only. The switches on second gens are different than ours, but you said it fit perfectly, right?

Painted the hex white on my tranny fill plug before dropped at dealer to perform 5k maintenance and warranty work and top off my slippery 6 speed automatic. Cannot wait to look at plug when I get it back.tranny plug.jpg
Also hope they fix grease streak inside driver door glass, same window rattle, awful front end squeak, install new tpms for the factory ones that were rolling free inside tires, the trip meter random resets and the regular 5k service.

I like the output, just not the pattern. I'd like to be able to use them as driving lights occasionally without completely blinding everyone else on the road.

These caliraised led pods are impressive! I was skeptical because they are a 1/4 of the price of most of their competitors but they definatly deliver and are on par with the bigger manufacturers!!!

Picked up a set of new FN Wheels Fx Pro wheels yesterday and the 265/70/17 Nitto Grappler G2 tires were delivered and installed at a local Discount Tire today. I really enjoy the way the truck looks now. Only thing that it needs visually is that grill painted/dipped black and a possible debage.

More than likely what happened, whom ever installed your new wheels/tires broke the TPMS sensors. That break is very typical of careless installer. If you drove around with rattling TPMS sensors, it will be VERY obvious...

I think I'm in your corner more than the other, but I just don't have past Tacoma experience to compare to do I'm sort of in an "ignorance is bliss" scenario. Been owning / driving cars my entire life aside from military trucks and family/ friends off road trucks, so when getting a gen 3 Tacoma, I didn't have much to compare it to.

That said though, I do feel like I would've been fine if I'd sacrificed economy or power or transmission functionality, in return for better performance in the other two areas, but so far it feels like all three are only meh. The truck will still what I want it to do, which is be a comfortable day to day driver and still go hold its own on the weekends, but I feel like they probably could've made it do at least one of those two a bit better.
