Acadia is one of our favorite places. Mountains, ocean, lakes woods and bike trails. Hopefully We'll get there in August.

This is Riverside Campground and Cabins, but I had to book 6 months in advance. Big Sur is extremely popular during summer, it's pretty much impossible to reserve a spot a week out, unless you get lucky and someone cancels.

We stayed in the spot #44. It's the most secluded one. There one spot directly below it, but the friends that came with us stayed there and we all hung out at our spot.

Love this thread! I've been wanting to really put my truck to outdoor use and take it through some fire roads, and explore some scenic routines,

Anyone have any camping spots they recommend in:

    South Lake Tahoe
    Big Sur
    Yosemite

    Areas?

I hear Mammoth has some great camping and fishing during summer. Haven't explored that one yet. Only go there to shred when there is snow.

That's insane 6 months, I'm not surprised though, do you recommend to keep checking online daily to see if anyone cancels?

Nice, yeah I haven't heard of too many bears roaming around Tahoe. Do you you just show up and and see if anyone canceled instead of being able to do it online?

I'd say call them. And every campground in the area. I hear Fernwood is really good, Pfeiffer Park one is the best, but they don't allow dogs at that campground, so it's a definite no for me. I only go to places where I can bring the dog :)
