Hi, so recently I installed a OME lift kit and after the installation, I've been hearing clunking noise in the front whenever I go over little bumps and sewer caps. Has this happend to any of you guys? Thanks in advance.

OME advertises 2" for the '16, so I'd assume that's a safe guess. OP, did you do the install yourself?

Edit: I guess I was wrong! Lol

Typical OME front end setup. Theyre shocks up front are at best 3/4 inches longer than stock, so with 3 inches youre topping them out on bumps. My ome stuff rode like shit, i got used to it

I'd start with re-torquing everything for the suspension

That's what I was thinking. Do you know how many lbs I should torque it to?

Well that's a simple answer then, take it back to the shop that did the install.

To set a baseline, what truck do you have, and which kit did you buy? Which coils? Will help others give good guidance.

Anyone know if 5100s suffer this same issue. I just got done dealing with this on my FJ, want to do it right this time with the Taco.

    It's a 2016 Trd Off-road, with the OME kit and 888 coils.

I've had the clunk for the last 3 months and finally figured it out today. I initially thought it was my sway bars so I bought the relocation bars. Still clunk...checked all my bolts but they all seemed good. It drove me nuts. Clunking when turning at full lock but only when going slow, then it graduated into speed bumps, then clunking left and right turns. I checked one of my body frame bolts and voila! It was loose and tightening it fixed it. Yours may be different but it worked for me.

The bolt behind the tire...good luck!

A few months back I installed 5100's in the front to simply level my 2015 4WD DCLB... since it has been a clunk "music box" this is the first time I really saw the re-torquing suggestion... but this is for 3rd gen... is there a tread for 2nd gen? Is this something that I can just go to a shop and request? These noises are driving me nuts! I will appreciate any help.

    Thank you
