    The power that was infused with the sword was Nissa Nissa's love for the Lord of light, not her love for Azor Ahai. So really I think Mel could be willing to be killed in order to please the lord. I see her having a vision in the flames telling her to return and present herself for execution. She will become a part of the sword then.

    At least that's what I'm hoping.

    Anybody catch that Jon was born under a bleeding star? The sword Arthur Dayne uses at the TOJ is called dawn. It is forged out of a fallen meteorite. Ned lays it at the foot of the bed, dripping blood when he enters the room...

    The born under a bleeding star thing is part of the prophecy of Azor Ahai as well.

    I've always thought books can give you a sense of time and space you can't get in an hour's TV. Of course, it takes a bit more time to read a book ;)

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    actually...they "stole" it from the books. it's eluded to in the books that a northern lord had 3 of Fray's sons baked into 3 big meat pies and served to guests when the Frey's were there.

    I'm a little disappointed we didn't get Lord Wymans "mummers farce" speech in the show. It's so great in the books the way he handles his business with the Freys.

    I saw this on Reddit and thought it was cool so am posting here. The wiki of ice and fire says this about noble bastards and their heraldry: "Bastards do not have the right to use the arms of the highborn families from which they descend. Recognized bastards who take arms (noble born, knighted, etc.) often, but not always, take the coat of arms of their fathers with the colors reversed."

    Meaning Jon could potentially take the Stark banner, which is a grey wolf on a white field, and use it as his own but reversed to make it a white wolf on a grey field. Seems fitting doesn't it :thumbsup:
