With AT tires, very little rubbing. And this is all based on Stock wheels.
With MT tires, you may have to cut away some of the fender and redo your cab mounts. Both very easy to do, just takes time and patience.

With my Toyo Open Country ATs (285/70/17) I have rubbing on the UCA and slightly on the frame. But thats going backwards and turning at full turn.

Nothing to worry about when going forward.

I have the Rugged edition wheels. All I know they are 16" I like the mudflaps to keeps rocks from dinging up my doors. but I will do it if I can get away with it.

If you are looking to get these, you WILL have to trim, get new UCAs (because they wont get on because of the tread lugs.) and you will have to do some serious trimming. (I.E. Cab mounts and trimming the fenders and wheel well plastic).

Same with these. You will have to get new UCAs.

I have maybe 1/2 an inch of space between my stock UCAs and the sidewall of my tire.

I'm most certain that all the Tacoma stock wheels come with the same backspacing. Or Non-TRD wheels.

With 33" tires the mudflaps have got to go in the front only. You can leave the back on. I never had the chance to choose because mine were off when I got my truck

Depends on the manufacturer. If you just want to go with the standard aftermarket UCAs (Total Choas). They're around $500 a pair. Link: http://www.chaosfab.com/96504.html

Both tire sizes work. But again it all depends on how much tread you got on the sidewall of the tire. With a 285/70/16 tire, your sidewall will be a bit larger than your sidewall now (you said you had 265/70/16 tires??)

I advise to get new UCAs anyway, because it will help out with your alignment and give you a smoother ride.

They should. Throw them a PM to see. And yes they have TW member discounts.

Also Toytec has them (they too have a discount for TW members).

    Link:

Toytec has Light Racing and I believe Total Chaos..

This sucks. I have a low income. I guess I will have to get UCA's now and keep the tires i got until i can save enough for tires.

I understand. I have no job... I've done all my mods with money coming from car washes and mowing lawns.

Modding vehicles is a slow process but in the end its worth it.

Good Luck with everything!!! PM me if you have anymore questions

I got NTGs and there a solid tire on and off road although mine didn't wear very well. I rotated them properly and i'm probably gonna get 30k outta them which isn't that bad but their pretty much slicks right now. I'm getting the Definity Dakota M/Ts my next go around...they have a 40k tread warranty and the price is right for a 285/75/16. Good luck bud

You can get 285's with stock Uca's. you just need to get new wheels. Thats the problem when you start to mod...You have an idea doesn't sound like its going to be much and that leads to more stuff too buy.. Its never ending:D
