    Killer New Years trip to Death Valley... here are some highlights on the way home today leaving the valley via Warm Springs then Mengel Pass... very cool trip almost as though you get your own private Death Valley... I will be back soon!

    Death Valley is one of my favorite places. Thanks for sharing your pics. How bad was Mengel Pass? I assume it wasn't too bad for you. I went through in November going down the pass and had to spend 30 minutes trail building. A jeep club came through the day before and tore the pass up.

    Went with GF - I wanted to take her to hotel but she insisted that we should camp - it was 33-35 (low) to mid 60's. We camped (tent/air materess/6 sleeping bags :)) in TX springs CG (I think). Nice 'cause it was centrally located.

    If we did a ride - remote camping would be cool - the cabins that I found would be a good one since you get to see more of the back country. The trails were nothing impossible but fun and beautiful.
