Damn some old school lights. Haha yeah those leds will do you and your battery some good

 

I was cleaning the OEM headlights I got from salvage and noticed the plastic in back has some scaley areas that seem a bit weak. Like a chem was spilled maybe.

Lenses look perfect though.
Should I return them? Paid less for pair than a single from RockAuto would run.

 

Looking to get more lift out of the front (currently on 884s) but I decided not to get them. Going to look for some 887s. I may have a bumper in the next 6 months but i definitely won't have a winch so the 887s will do the job.

 

I bumped my shocks up to .85. Now at like 2.75" lift. I have no complaints. FREE.

5100's have enough rebound dampening for 885's and 887's, but that's where the love ends. 886's are a higher rate spring. 5100's do NOT have enough rebound dampening built into their valving to handle the 886. You end up with a front end that will jackhammer the daylights out of you on bumps at highway speeds. I've been in a couple trucks with 886's and 5100's. They rode horrible IMHO. In BOTH cases, owners were looking to swap coils or shocks to get away from bad ride.

 

I'm not a fan 5100s anymore. Mine are shit I tell people to get OME or coilovers

 

See I actually like my 5100s Just looking for a taller coil.

 

Those are for coilovers but I know what you're getting at

 

May just be a 1st and 2nd gen thing then. I haven't heard much from the 2nd gen group but the 1st gen group (typically) hates them

 

Interesting.. I mean I would like to eventually go to an extended travel coilover. That probably wont happen for at least 3 years when I get a real job.

 

Anyone have 18's that they'll part with? Those 37's we have that are used are for 18's, not 20's. And I can get them $50 a piece and they're all like 60% tread terra grapplers

Soooo.. Going to be rebuilding some UCAs. I've got new bushings. Are these the only other thing I really need?

Cool. I guess the pins can be reused? Like the ones that go through the uniball? I know basically nothing about uniball ucas so bear with me
