Damn, how long did it take them to give you a build date? I've been waiting almost a month and a half now and I thought that was a long time!

jkm25, build date was in April. I live on Guam which is in the middle of the pacific. The wait was long, truck is in the port waiting for arrival at the dealer and then I can finally get my hands on it. Unfortunately, it had to be shipped here. :)

The dealer ordered my 2016 Barcelona Red TRD Offroad DCSB with 6MT today. Expecting delivery in 6-8 weeks. The MT option was what brought me to the "dark side" as I've been a life long GM owner. Can't wait for delivery!

I don't know if it's an amazing deal or not, it's got Premium and Tech, Tow Package, Tonneau Cover, All Weather Floor Mats, Bed Liner, Mud Guards and Spare Tire Lock and I paid $35990 before taxes and fees.

Bought my '16 TRD OR MT a week ago. Haven't had a manual since my '91 yota 4x4.

2 main reasons for getting manual (not that I need a reason):

    1. Test drove both auto and manual. With the Atkinson cycle, Toyota reconfigured the gearing. Acceleration in 1st/2nd, on the auto, SUCKS!

    2. My wife can't drive manual!

    Enjoy your bad ass trucks!

Filled out all the financials tonight, picking it up tomorrow. My 2013 was an automatic and I wasn't an enormous fan of the transmission, and I'm happy my 2016 is a manual. Ultimate, I'm sad I lost so many of my mods in the accident, but the increased niceties on the new truck do make up a lot of ground for me.

I am loving this truck more and more every day. I am so glad I got the manual. All the horror stories about the auto makes me sick. Everyone complains about 5th and 6th gear. Would not know what its like as I rarely drive in 6th gear, even on the highway at 80mph and I still get 20mpg.

I used 6th gear a bunch early on, but I am finding that 5th I just as good for most driving tasks. It also keeps the revs a tad higher and in the power, without much difference in MPG.

Well, with the caveat of "everyone is different" I can tell you that at 6' I have my seat all the way back in my '10 4Runner. I have long arms, and otherwise, fairly well balanced between legs and torso.

In the '16 taco, I still had a notch to go when I first drove the auto. When I drove the manual though, I felt I could have been even a little more forward, just for a complete range of the clutch. However, I quickly realized I didn't need the entire clutch range.

The headroom seemed about the same, but I didn't pay any special attention to it.

I'm 6'1" and I'm pretty comfortable in my Double Cab. My seat isn't even all the way back. You should be fine. The only time it's less comfortable is when I have a full truck so I scoot my seat up to give the person behind me more leg room.

I'm 6'-6" and I have the seat forward probably 2 or 3 notches. I don't like having to reach for the wheel and shifter with the seat all the way back.

Recently did a 2500km road trip and I found the truck to be very comfortable, we made regular stops to stretch but I didn't feel that it got to a point where I had to stop any sooner than I did.

I just got a call from the dealership...the truck arrived today. I'll be testing-driving it in a few hours.

I'll let you guys know this evening how things went

anybody here have a 16 DCSB TRDOR M/T w/ Tech Package?

I ordered it about 6 weeks ago and the dealership is saying they are having a hell of a time trading up.
