Anybody with ObA set up with am ARBOR single compressor and a tank?

I have a few questions but most people with tanks run a twin.

I have the single but no tank. The single has always worked fine for me. Only takes about 10-12 minutes to air up.

Awesome! How hot does it get? If I mount it in a cubby, similar to the bed cubbies in Tacomas, will it melt the plastic inside?
Yeah I want to be able to run air tools was my idea. I was seeing if a single compressor was capable of keeping a tank pressurized enough. I know a twin can.

It gets pretty warm. I have rotopax right next to it and then don't melt but if I touch it after filling up all 4 tires it doesn't feel good. I think I would want more ventilation for it than inside a cubby.

Damn... I don't have a great spot for it in the runner. I know people that do run it on cubbies but I worry. Maybe if the door is off permanently so it gets air

That would be pretty easy actually. I could wire it to come on with the same switch as the compressor. Would serve as a good exhaust fan!

    Gears are turning!

The only thing with the air tank is that it's only a slight benefit at first. But I have a 100% duty compressor so no I don't have to wait for the tank to pressurize to continue, I just leave it going. Might take a little longer since there is some pressure loss between the hose/tank :notsure:

Essentially I have the viair equivalent of a single so 10-15 mins is probably accurate on my 315s. Another compressor would be nice to have and dual fill.

I just happen to have a variety of air tools and no lithium tools. Thought it would be a fun project as well.

My main reason I want the tank is to run a locker. I forgot to add that into my first post. I like that it can charge the tank, run the locker, and not need to run the compressor the whole time.

I can't fit a twin anywhere on my rig without it being hideous so I'm going single. Also being able to air up 30 seconds faster isn't worth 250 bucks extra on a twin to me.

Why do you want an extra tank for a locker? You don't really need one for lockers, beyond the little one that's built-in on the arb single.

Yeah it's so it doesn't have to keep running the compressor

Since we are on the topic and I'm an idiot when it comes to OBA. If I wanted just to run a train horn and fill my tires. What would I need? Or just point me in the direction and I'll do some reading. Don't feel like working anyways
