Surprisingly I need to put 2-3 back on evidently either my scale and the scale at the gym are broken but mine kept switching between 232 and 233 and the gyms was at 232.8

So..... IHOP lied so I came home and made my own damn 12 egg omelet with all the goodies I could remember from the video minus hash browns because we don't have white potatoes at the moment. Made the pancakes and finished it off with 1/2 pint of halo top birthday cake and tablespoon of peanut butter. Weighed this morning........ 233.8

Long time between posts, but good news: down to 224 (from 244) so I've officially lost 20 lbs. Spent a long time out in the Texas heat doing some disc golf/hiking and followed it up with some bouldering in the PM. Fun times! Have done strict no-carb for quite a while and decided to cheat a bit last night with a chimichanga (no chips/salsa, easy on the rice) and it was glorious.

Haven't had a chance to weigh myself. Staying below calorie limit. Cut back on beer, just can't give it up all together.

I do notice that pants fit looser and my watch fits looser.

Eh, depends on what you are trying to do, drop weight, drop and tone, or drop and bulk. Btw, 9-10 minute miles don't cause too many injuries. As you speed up, things start to wear, stretch and/or break. Heavy lifting can also cause issues. Form and concentration get way more important if you want to go that far.

I'm not worried about dropping. I'm trying to tone. However I am also trying to prepare myself for a 5k coming up in a little less than a month

Free sushi and crab cakes tonight... I'm definitely going to eat more than I should but I'll make sure to skip my rest day tomorrow because of it

I've continued to see improvement in overall energy. Feels like I'm hooked on the gym feeling again. Helps to notice the progress in the mirror, even though I've troughed (the opposite of plateaued?) in terms of weight loss. Been steady around 250 after dropping the first 9 pounds or so in the first week. I've noticed big gains in muscle performance and think it's a little bit of fat burning along with the quick initial gains from lifting a bunch. I've gone 5x a week for nearly 3 weeks, and I realize I've approached the end of my month one. 4 week weigh-in this Friday. I didn't want to look at the scale after last weekend, but on Tuesday I was back at 249.0. We'll see what tomorrow and Friday show, but I expect to be fluctuating like this for a while as my body changes.

Anyone else notice results besides on the scale? Overall energy, sleep habits, focus?

I won't be participating until I am back to actual gym status not just walking on a damn treadmill. I've lost 7 lbs in the last two weeks since surgery so not a happy camper right now.

Muscle is denser than fat, so if you look a lot slimmer but your weight doesn't reflect it, that's why.

Just an FYI, you can stagger your carbs. Have carbs on days with a lot of physical activity (gym days), it makes eating right easier to stick with, and not such a drag.

Going to lake Coeur D'Alene on Friday. reasonable meals will be a serious challenge. But I have six days of swimming, hiking, and mountain biking to look forward to also.

Swimming? Only in a heated pool. I fell in one of the glacial lakes over by Spokane once...took 3 years for my balls to descend again.

Haha yeah- I only "cheated" that day because I had been outside playing disc golf for several hours followed by another hour and a half of bouldering... I had definitely earned it :)

It's not that bad. You get over it pretty fast. I've been to a lake in Texas. I will take cool water over water snakes and mosquito the size of birds.
