It was 108 when I came out to my truck last week in the asphalt parking lot. The AC blew cold air after 15 seconds. What was wrong with your T4R?

I don't know. I think its always been like that. We are literally only talking one mile down the road.

I'll check it again in a couple minutes when I get out. Maybe its the difference between being cold air, and FEELING it cool down.

    EXPERIMENT TIME!

Alright, I paid closer attention. When I started the truck it was on cold, not max, and highest fan setting. For the five seconds it was hot air, then it went to cool. At 40 seconds it was blasting cold. I guess it feels a lot longer!

I agree about the area and Tundra demand. The NW FL "Gulf Coast" is loaded with Tundras on the road...especially the 00' - 06' models. I will probably get some sh!t for this next statement. I sold my 12' TRD Tundra to get the 16' Tacoma. The Tundra was just too much more than I needed in a truck--hard to park and get in the garage (hit the mirrors more than once) and the mileage sucked. I love my Tacoma and have had very few issues with it so far (transmission 1 qt. low, rear door window seal replaced). It does squeak a little at very low speeds and I have read all the posts on that issue but it really doesn't bother me that much. That's what the volume control on the audio system is for... That said, IMO, the Tundra, for just a little $$ more is a far better truck than the Tacoma..build quality, performance, minimal problems, towing capacity, ride quality, etc. But, it is not the sport off-road vehicle the Tacoma is and is not the best vehicle for people like me who use the truck more as a car than a work vehicle. That market is where the industry sees real growth for the future with Nissan's Frontier, the new Ridgeline, GM two entries, the Dodge Dakota, and I have heard Ford will be reintroducing the Ranger in 17'. However, for my needs, the Tacoma models will be my vehicle from here on out (unless they really screw it up).

Saw a photo of what appeared to be a rear slider button on the interior panel of a 2017 TRD O/R currently advertised for sale.

Picked up my 2017 TRD OR week before last. Can confirm it did come with an auto rear slider. Nice feature.

Yep and when I first heard the 2017 would have a auto rear slider I said SO fucking what. I rarely used my slider in my 06. Me and the wife took a 350 mile road trip over the weekend and boy that auto rear slider makes a difference

    I love it
