When I first got it, terrible, lol. Driving it home I had to stand on the pedal for them to do anything. I took them apart and cleaned everything up inside, put in fresh shoes and hardware and flushed the lines and they started working a lot better. Still have to stand on them for a panic brake, but they're not power assist so that's not surprising. For regular braking they work fine.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll work now, though, with fresh everything.

Why did your spindles need to go to the machine shop?

Same here, especially given the size of the lake.

    King Pin bushings.
The replacement bushings have to be pressed in with a shop press, and then honed on the inside for the pin to fit properly because they're made oversize from the factory to account for wear. I probably could have done it myself, but I'd rather let a pro with the right tools handle it to make sure they're 100%

    Like so:

The bushings are a split bushing and their curve is oversized for the spindle so if the cups have wear the bushings can pick up the slack. And then once they're pressed in you hone the inside of the bushings down to the correct size for the pin.

Cape Cod dennisport tomorrow through wednesday. Cannot wait to sit on the beach or jetty fishing and drinking....just relaxing. On another note just got my tekonsha p3 trailer brake controller wired it up and should be mounting it later today in the center console in front of the cup holders.

Nice! Saw you commented on the one for sale that I was looking at as well. I gave up on it because I found the same type of deal you found. Not worth buying the one the guy was selling when for the same price, or a bit less when you factor in shipping, I can buy a brand new one.

I don't need it, yet, but not a bad idea to buy one if the right deal comes across.

Yea i saw your interest and I was like I paid 20 bucks more and ordered it from a site. I get a lot of stuff from autoanything. They will price match up to a year. So if i found it cheaper than what I paid six months from now, I can literally call them up and they will send a refund for the difference. I did it when I purchased a tri-fold tonneau before I got my cap. Ended up with 40 bucks coming back.

Grew up in Dennisport for 23 years. Nice little area - mind if I ask where abouts? Lived right at the intersection of Old Wharf Rd and Lower County.

    Hey everyone....

Have any of you ever transported a queen size mattress in your double cab short beds?

Someone asked me for help moving one from point A to B, it's only a short ride. How much is it not gonna fit?

Roll that bitch up like a burrito and strap her in. Shouldn't be a problem.

Edit- And don't ever buy a truck w/an 8 foot bed. Ever since I did I've had 5 people ask me to help them move.

This..worst case drop one side in and hang the other over the side, or rest part on the roof and strap it in against tailgate.

Problem is then 6 foot beds are next in line *ducks*

I got hit up to move someone this Saturday. Against my better judgment I said yes. Lady I've worked with for a long time and really isn't the type to ask people for things.

Ever since I had a truck, that has been my sole use to certain people. I hate it when people tell me their lease is up and they are signing on a new place....I tend to be busy that weekend. On top of using my truck, they use my labor too. When it came time for me to move though, everyone was too busy.

I stopped being the nice guy a while ago after I bought my house and there was no one other than my father in law to help move shit around.
