I was just looking at doing the exact same to mine with the exception of going to 285 KO2s. Looks super clean!

C load is also for sidewall toughness/stiffness. A P metric tire has way more capacity than the Tacoma can handle already.

Shop guy said I wouldn't need wheel spacers!

    getting ready to install BFG KO2 285/70/17's on my SCS 17" Ray10's with a 2.5 " lift/level! On my 2016 TRD OR 2wd.

I wanted the tires and rims to be as flush as can but the shop guy said that because of the SCS Ray10 and the Offset: -10mm, the rims would stick out past the fender flare about 1 1/2 to 2"'s. He said no matter what size tires the rims will stick out past flares.

I cant figure out what they would look like after install, I just don't like tires on trucks that go way out past the wheel wells!

Other then that, what would be the largest size tire for that rim, without a lift all stock!

Pretty sure that the biggest tire you can put on a stock Gen 3 with 17" wheels is 265/70/17. Anything bigger and you may have some rubbing issues. With that said I am not familiar with the specific wheels you are talking about. So maybe I am off on that.

Hey if you mind me asking but do you know the backspacing on these rims? I'm looking to get the same ones but wanna know if I get bigger tires in the future if I'll have any rubbing issues. Thanks.

Are the wheels all on piece, including the center cap? Or is the center cap removable? I was thinking about buying some and powdercoating them a different color and wasn't sure if the center was metal or plastic.

Yo, nice truck man... I'm thinking about going with your "before" setup since I want to hang onto the stock wheels. Do you have any other pictures of it before the TRDs from the side view? Also, what lift did you put on?

Yeah, I have done a ton of looking into this, as I bought the 17" TRD Pro wheels and definitely want KO2s. Problem is I don't want a lift, so I am stuck with 265/70/17s. Only reports of rubbing that I have heard is on the OEM and WeatherTech mudflaps, but I have RokBlokz so I think I should be all good!

I don't think I will be able to stop second guessing myself until I actually get them on the truck though...

After I get the 265/70/17s on my truck with the stock suspension I will see what it looks like. If it looks weird then I may consider a lift...but currently I plan on getting my new wheels and tires on and then keeping the stock set up for a while, since there shouldn't be any rubbing. Maybe pics of your truck will change my mind though lol!

    I have a 16 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x2; stock tires (265/65-17) & rims (17”).
I’ve read the last 18 pages and was unable to find any information on using shock tires on TRD Pro rims. Is this possible and would there be any issues mounting stock tires onto TRD Pro rims?
If anyone has pictures can you please post. – THANKS.

I'm planning on getting the TRD rims as well but my current rims are 16, I have the OR model. I don't think you'll have any issues, you already have 17" rims so you should be fine. The only issue you might have is if you get larger tires, you'll need to upgrade your suspension for that or at least get a lift.

That's a badass wheel/tire combo, if you don't mind me asking what size tires are those and what mods have you made to the suspension?
