I've owned my 16 for 16 days. The day I drove it home it was quiet as a mouse... Day 2-15 it made sounds that drove me crazy. On the third trip to the dealer (after everything on the chassis and suspension was checked, tightened and torqued again... I asked them to pull the tube steps off... She went back to being quiet as a mouse.

They're upgrading me to new predator steps for my troubles. I just hope they don't squeak! Outside of that issue I'm very happy with my new purchase.

Sorry, I didn't notice the video before I posted... Just listened to it and its not the same noise. Mine wasn't a high pitched squeak it was a deeper lower tone although the cadence to the noise was similar.

My front body/core-support mounts make a tone of noise. I have tried tightening/loosening, and oiling to no avail. I have a set of new Energy Suspension Poly ones to install this weekend and am hoping this fixes the sumbitch!

Noticed mine starting to squeak. Got under the truck and pushed up and can hear it from both sides. First issue with the truck and haven't even broken 10000 miles yet. I'll get it looked at when I take it in for the 10k in a month or so I guess. Have a pretty good service department so hopefully no BS like others have been getting.

I did see the video. Mine squeaks when I get in or out as well. However when driving it only squeaks when I hit bumps.

I let the dealership know about my squeak in the rear suspension during my first oil change service. Their reply was that it was because of low mileage and it still needs time to break in hahaha! When i got home this morning after my oil change i noticed they just sprayed some lubricant on it for a short term fix.

I don't believe most peoples problems with the rear suspension squeak have anything to do with the sway bar bushings. I can see on mine that they lubricated the bushing on the leaf spring though along with the end of the leaf spring at the mounting point.

After two trips on dusty Florida dirt roads, and 5000 miles I got a squeak. Fix and mechanics assessment in my thread linked below:

Offensive stickers and stuff the wife doesn't know about.
Yeah mine just started doing it, prob at 11k miles now, just started two days before deploying...figures! So haven't had time to take it into dealership but will be getting the wife to take it in for it. Also need some resolution on my violent shaking hood before that bitch flies off and decapitates someone. Also my damn gas mileage is still shit 15-18 (18 is with a tailwind down a hill with only my 100lb naked wife in the vehicle), no matter what I fuckin do, all the rest of you getting 20+ in the city I envy you. Toyota definitely needs to own up and resolve the CF of issues the 16s are having, that or I'll trade it in and get a 1794 Tundra (might as well get the 8 for the mileage I'm getting!)
