When the fire first started, Noozhawk mentioned it started at Rancho La Scherpa. Hence the name which the Forest Service intentionally changed.

At least west is a through road. If one side caught, you could haul ass to Refugio or the 154

This is correct. Will minus the last part; it was a typo that the FS ran with to avoid confusion after naming it. The cause has nothing to do with ranch equipment or anything of that sort. Rancho la Sherpa is a Christian retreat center, not an agg op. The cause hasn't been publicly released, although when it does you'll probably want to bang your head against the wall. Stupid is as stupid does. No criminal charges but I sure hope they get sued for the economic loss they caused.

Yeah, I've been to at least 2 of them, I just didn't hear about this most recent one...

Don't they have to release the cause, legally? Or will they knowing hide the truth from everyone :tinfoilhat:

I'm kinda scared to hear what caused it now....

Speaking of home stuff - does anyone have experience with HD projectors and drop down movie screens? I have no idea, but it might be a direction I want to go. A housemate is moving out and taking his 55" communal TV. Maybe time to upgrade?

Well was up at lizards mouth last night and went and checked if the road still had signs up and it didn't so I was excited. Went to go for a run today .Got maybe a mile into the dirt before I ran into someone for the fire department saying the road was still closed. Bummed me out .But what bummed me out even more was the fact the have gone through with a tractor and smoothed the whole road out .No more ruts or bumps
