    Anywhere.

They're sold individually as well as in pairs.

Better than nothing, but I would still demand to speak to the owner (maybe even have my dad with me, depending on how old you are) to get this fixed. If that doesn't work, I'd then do what your dad suggested.

"The manager says he would have to chalk it up as a loss."

I'm sure he did say that. Someone had to chalk it up as a loss, and it should have been the renob that broke the Bilstein. Unfortunately, you're now eating the loss and you don't have a lot of options. If so inclined, I'd take the advice above and have your dad or local TW members help you install. This situation sucks for you, and I'm sorry to read about it, but I wouldn't have been as laid back about the way it was handled by the shop. I understand you're younger; I wouldn't have been eager to lose my shit when I was a teenager either.

At 17 I threatened to throw a mechanic through a showroom window for not putting oil in my car. I was pretty scary back then, between having long hair and a temper.

That'd be great but my dad wouldn't know how to do it and I wouldn't know enough to be 100% confident in my install. And I know that you can't be 100% with a shop either though obviously. Is there a writeup on installing 885's with 5100s?

I did talk to the owner and they just denied constantly. They got the other Bilstein off fine which clearly means it was their fault but I would have had to take them to court about it which would not have been worth it to me or my parents. I had to chalk it up as my loss

On the bright side, my truck rides like a dream now on the 885s with stock Billies and fox 2.0s and Ironman leaf springs in the rear

Question since everyone here seems to be knowledgable about bilsteins. Will i be able to do Bilstein 5100's in the front with a 2 inch block in the back? If so what setting should i put the 5100's on? Thanks

All I know is to stick with factory springs if you are planning on setting the Bilsteins higher. I don't think a lot of guys would recommend blocks but if that is what you want go for it

Small claims is very simple. It costs a small filing fee, but if you win (and I can't see you wouldn't) they would have to pay you the fee.

I had to go this route a few yrs ago when my old truck was damaged by an idiot loading crushed stone in my truck. The guy didn't even show up and called me that day asking if I'd negotiate with him at all. haha.

Yeah I probably should have gone to small claims court. I just didn't know enough plus I think my dad just didn't really want to deal with it and he thought the guy would've tried to keep my truck if we told him we were taking him to court

No you did right to get the truck out. Now, buy another shock or pair if you must (which I'd do), then get the paper from the court and file the small claims. Inbox me if you need any advice, different state but I've gone through this more than once with shady people.

I understand it's awkward, but you've got to raise hell. If it's the manager, you talk to the owner. If it's the owner, you bring in turn dad and raise hell. You bring in receipts and talk about how expensive it is and how it's not your fault, it's their fault. If they don't budge you threaten lawyers. I understand the heasitency, but this advice is general, based on what we've all read so far.

I'm just trying to help you here and in the future, based on what I would have done given what I know about your situation.
