Good evening all, hope your Monday was a good one. Mine not so much, had to make a Dr. appointment for my upper back pain that's getting worse instead of better. Yoga stretches, weight exercises, and ibuprofen just ain't getting it done. Goin Friday for further inspection and exrays. They gave me a script for muscle relaxers but I can't take them and work.
Any of you deal with persistent back pain? I am hoping they don't locate issues that require surgery, I have friends who have and say don't do surgery unless you can't take it any more.
And as far as the fishing partner, with my back pain all I could do is look! Plus my wife says its ok to look but I couldn't afford the financial loss if anything more then looking took place. So I look and smile.

:( sorry you are having issues with your back. Hope it's something they can fix without a knife.

I have neck and back issues. Over 50 ocular migraines each of last two years, vertigo couple times a year. Bone crackers say no surgery, hope you come out good. Many people I talk to find surgery worked out great for them.

Duane, I have never had a ocular migraine, it even sounds very painful.
I guess I shouldn't complain, there are a lot more 60 year olds in far worse condition. My daughter is a ER trauma nurse and she says I am in real condition compared to most "50" year olds she sees.
I think 40+ years of turning wrenches is just wearing me out, so looking forward to retirement so I can at least sit and relax when I need to.

    Evening all,
My migraines usually cause little discomfort, mostly depressing. The bad vertigo episodes may make me sick to my stomach and laying down 30 minutes or up to overnight resolve it. I have those at most twice a year. Seems hard labor or a heavy backpack when backpacking can bring on the vertigo. Surprisingly, no vertigo this Spring with all the hard work I've been doing, even today when I dug up most of my sewer line, luckily it was not very deep. Even took a pick to the trench, trying to see if I could catch any roots.
Firewood is done, I touched every round I had!!! Nice pretty rows and the shed has been filled for almost a month. Garden is looking great, corn is knee high already, Mammoth sunflowers over my head now on a couple plants. Peas will be getting picked soon, had some immature ones today. Potatoes look terrific, the heat is making the garden get with it. Pumpkin plants are starting to send out a runner. Almost killed a mole or gopher this AM by stomping where I saw the ground moving. No body. :(
Has been in the mid 80's F here the last few days, my trailer gets to the low 70's inside still, lots of shade outside and the nights are still in the low 40's F. NOAA says it is in the 90's F, I must have some good shade.

    Morning all:
Can't say too much in the way of help about the back pain some of you are experiencing. I have 2 buddies that had back surgery, one is still working, the other is on disability.
At least they are both still walking and functional, but the one on disability still has pain.

May have found out something about the 66, and what happened there with the brake fluid. I was talking to a mechanic that I know who had also put silicone fluid in his vehicle. He said it will evaporate, and that I have to check it more often, he told me that the same thing happened to a car he owned after he converted it over. I also mentioned about not having to bleed the brakes and he shook his head yes and said that the silicone fluid will allow the air to remove itself by migrating back to the brake cyl. :notsure:
I never heard that before and am on the same page with Mike, I will still keep checking for a leak but what he's saying could be a possibility if I can't find a leak. ???

That is freaky. I guess it doesn't strip paint in .000017 seconds either...

    Evening all:
:woot: A somewhat productive day today!
Got the wires, cap, rotor, points, and condenser replaced on the 66. Had to take the condenser back because the wire was too short , told the counter guy to get another one and see if the wire was the same length, it was longer like it needed to be so I just swapped them and it then fit like it should.
Then I got the welded jet foot back and had to do a lot of patterning and grinding on it to form it to the way it should be. I used a flapper disc on a 4 1/2" grinder to form it and couldn't believe how well it worked on aluminum.

Morning all! I took the Tacoma in for its annual safety/emissions testing and an oil service. Just over 35,000 miles on it - brakes were at 5/10 on the front and 6/10 on the rear. Given that it's a 2004 I guess I can't complain about excessive wear.

Morning everyone, have a busy day planned myself today. Dr. appointment for my back issues at 9 am, then off to get Tacoma its annual state inspection, bring it home and take the bike over for its overdue inspection. Might swing buy the mother in-laws old house and see what is going on over there, neighbor said there were surveyors there the other day and she said something didn't look correct with their markings. Then back home to work on things around the house and garage. Need to put a pinion seal in the old wagon so I can drive it a little this summer, don't know if that will get done this weekend or not. And as always mow the grass.
Did get the motorhome vacuumed out and the water system flushed and the a new deep cycle battery installed last night.
Hope you all have a good day.

Well good news, back is fine no knives needed. Muscle strain and spasms, new drug to try and more exercise needed. If that don't work therapy sessions.
Got inspections done, put 23 miles on the bike, and got some stuff done around the house, great day considering.
Hope you all had a good day also.
