2009 2% over invoice

I just found out that my employer has a setup with a local Toyota dealer to offer employees 2% over invoice. Just wondering how good a deal this is, or could I do better using online pricing, and negotiating with the dealer?

My employer offered the same thing. I did better on my own. Check out www.carsdirect.com. The price on there was better. I took that in to the dealer and got them to match it.

The "Carsdirect Price"

 

Well for me the "carsdirect price is more than 2% over "invoice Price"
so right now 2% looks better too me.

 

Oh. Yeah must be a market thing because my Carsdirect price is below invoice. Plus I got 2.9% financing for 5 years.

 

The deal thats out for me on an 09 is just a bit over 1% over invoice which seemed pretty good to me....I dont have the final numbers on the 09 yet but the 08 was going to be about $27k with the specs I requested. Just found out yesterday that it should be in Texas by the end of the month so now decisions decisions.

 

Just like Ricepow. Carsdirect has been my best tool. I have used carsdirect in the past & have negotiated with a dealer, an even lower price than what the initial carsdirect price was.

Also did you know the 2008 Tacoma has a $2,000 rebate or low APR, through the end of July. Might want to consider that.

Plus an 08 you probably will get a much better deal. The carsdirect price for an 08 Tacoma DC 2wd sr5 package & tow package was about $1700 under invoice. It was in the neighborhood of $23,000. I checked this a week or so ago.

 

GET INVOICE pricing!!

I bought my truck at invoice price..... I had a couple dealerships *on the line* while the 3rd dealership gave me what I wanted (invoice).

 

low ball them first.... you should able to knock off $5000 off the truck
there's a dealer in Delware has already taken for $4G off
so you can milk them for more...
