TRD pro sighting?

a) Sr5 dosent come with tech b) power sliding window is YET TO BE CONFIRMED c) not my first tacoma and have built 2 prior, you can build one better for cheaper dude you just can't argue that, based on your member number, sig for an f150 I'll take your comment with a grain of salt.

TRD OR with TECH Package: $38000 (most are getting there's below MSRP, you won't be able to with a PRO)
Icon coilover suspension: $1200
AAL: $100
Upper control arms (camburg, TC, etc.): $600
BAMF grille: $500
BHLM headlight/tailight mod: $50 in supplies
TRD Pro shift knob based on previous price: $60
Wheels and tires are irrelevant as the PRO comes with the same lame Goodyears so you'd have to upgrade both.

$40500 (cheaper and better components like an actual adjustable coilover, better UCAs, etc.)

 

I don't get the baja comparisons. Nothing about the Pro says Baja-truck to me.

Did you just read my post, I listed all the components to build one with a TRD off road Tech package which is crawl control, moon roof, all the gizmos and came up with a better suspension and for less. Again dude, been here awhile, had multiple tacomas for awhile, built a few, not new to the pros, and yes you can build one with the same gizmos and better suspension for less. So ya far less than $8k where are you getting that number? And less than a pro. For the HUNDREDTH time no one is knocking the PRO, just stating the fact that you can build a more capable Tacoma for less that is fact.

 

A Sr5 with sr5 package is like $35k so if you think your looking at 43k for a pro that's an 8k difference. Your going off a TRD so about 38k so if you think you can add all that for 5k then more power to you. For a decent suspension your looking at 3k easily just in parts. With wheels and tires your gonna be at about 5k. Now you don't have the black headlights, taillights, grill, leather, shift knob, fog lights, and whatever other goodies will be part of the package. The rear power slider seems likes its gonna be in the package of you read around on here. It's on a build order. just not confirmed from Toyota yet

Are you special? I just listed a build for you for less. This is pointless arguing with you, your wrong dude. Very wrong. $3k for suspension and $5K for wheels and parts, are they dipped in gold? You clearly have never built one of these trucks, better components than that on the TRD Pro can be had for far less than both of those made up numbers of yours. The pro's suspension isn't even adjustable, you can get an ICON coilover setup, Stage 1 for less than $1200. But think what you must.

Exactly. He also quoted $8k for a lift tires and suspension. He's trying to argue you can't build a more capable, similar in creature comforts truck for less, I showed him you could but he refuses to acknowledge, I'll let him speculate from his F150.

Depending on the pricing obviously, I have a TRD DCLB 4x4 with non-JBL Tech, towing, and mudguards on order for $34,800 + TTL. MSRP is $38,700.

Depending on the pricing of the Pro I would be able to have a VERY good build for the price difference...

 

The grill was so large they needed 2 pieces of vinyl! Love it!

 

Icon stage 1 - $1200+ labor
Arb locker- ~$1000, I don't know about labor
Wheels- ~$1000, don't know if it has a matching spare
Catskinz- aren't they $1k? With heater
Headlights and tail lights are probably around $1k
Grill- ~$500
PT package- worth 2k if I'm thinking correctly
Does it come with the TRD catback?

I'm sure I left some stuff out but it's close. Obviously you can say you don't need the grill or the PT package but the pro has it so I guess you have to account for it. Also my prices may be off. Labor has to be accounted for a fair comparison.

Didn't put in tires because most people would change them out anyways so both assume that cost

 

If you bought an OR you don't need the locker already has one, I already did a price sheet build to prove a point with a TRD OR with tech and premium for less. Wheels and tires are negligible as most will change those out for both models. And most do their own labor here...

i can build a expo rig for 43k.....all around plate with dual lockers if i do all the labor and possibly have a shell i can sleep out of

But your time has a price. You could be doing something other than putting a lift on your truck to make money. Not factoring in labor is a biased view point. And I'm not arguing tires changing out since they're consumable but you do have to factor in wheels with the pro and adding wheels to the off-road or sr5

How so the wheels are the wheels. Many like the OR wheels and leave them with different tires, the wheels and tires are subjective, so for comparison its best to leave out. The argument is building a truck with the same or better capabilities for less, you can build a Tech and Premium OR for less, that will have all the bells and whistles minus leather (but a moonroof which pro does not have), with the same capability if not better than the PRO. I don't understand why so many insist you can't when there are TONS of examples here on this forum. Dosent mean the PRO is a crappy truck, its meant for a certain buyer.
