I don't think they will fit correctly. There were some changes made in '12. Plus ^^^ what Mike said the tab's that hold them in are totally different

Morning all! So this happened yesterday; got home and the goose was very disturbed, honking and screeching and wandering in circles. Checked on the duck house and apparently this had just happened:

Tried to get a closer picture but the one of the mother ducks kept biting my phone, so no go. I'll get a better shot when they decide they're ready to wander around.

I changed and started working on the truck next. Got both spindles reinstalled. SOOOO smooth, and zero play. Love it. Can't wait to see how much easier she steers/tracks now.

Also got both drum brake backing plates, new wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware, one drum/bearing setup reinstalled and was working the second drum/bearing unit when the GF comes out and says that we're having corn on the cob, steamed artichokes, and nachos for supper and that it's all ready.

Nah, not really. The GF's family BBQ is on Saturday. I don't mind going but it's a dry party with drier people. They could use some booze to loosen them up, lol. But, it's not all bad because her uncle usually goes and he's got a '66 Chevelle with a 396 in it, so he and I just talk cars the whole time. Last year I let him talk me into lining up with him for a drag race on the road where his mother (Cassie's grandmother) lives. I was faster off the line, but he caught me when I had to make the 1-2 shift and he ended up taking it by 3 or 4 car lengths.
Didn't expect any other result, going up against a 396 Chevelle, lol. His mom gave us both hell when we got back, though. She wasn't impressed with us leaving twin 11's in front of her house.

Other than that we don't usually travel much on the 4th. Too many drunks on the road

Jerry's Chevelle. Ignore the married people; his son just got married and used it to arrive at the reception, and it's the only picture I could find of the car on short notice :anonymous:

KT? Seems like there's very few local shops with stellar reputations these days. I used to love working with DSG but they gave up because of their customers, which was sad.

My Dad's only new car was a 1966 Chevelle SS396. It was stolen shortly after he purchased it. Excluding a $500 Porsche 914 he pulled out of a field and owned for a year or two when I was very young, he never owned a cool car after that. He was a $500 car guy. He never paid more than $500, which was probably okay in 1986, but even today, I think he'd still be buying $500 cars. Granted, what cost $500 in 1990 is probably a whole lot nicer than what costs $500 in 2016. When I was a young and stupid kid we lived in a new development with really nice houses and I used to be so annoyed his car was the oldest in the neighborhood by a solid 10 years. Nowadays, I completely get why, since it was just an appliance to get from point A to point B and he'd rather spend money for the landscaping and whatnot on the house.

Jerry bought his used in the early 80's. Except for a gm-sourced mild cam it's all original, even the paint. Sees maybe 1000 miles a year at this point. He's got an 80's Monte Carlo he drives during the summer instead, lol.

My DD is just an A-B car, but I like having something classic for nice days.

My dad was the same, he'd spend about 2 grand at an auction for something though. He drove 100 miles a day to work and back though. The joke was even the kids in my town had better cars than he did..but like you said, he just looks at it as a way to get somewhere and that's it.

I grew up going to auctions with them and never spent more than $1000 for a car till I was almost 30 yrs old. Didn't care to either actually, was nice not having a payment..not that I could afford one anyhow. I got a 1988 Celebrity for $200 back in 1998, did about $200 more to it and ended up with 4 solid years of use.
