I cut coupons and buy Sea Foam by the gallon to keep the cost down (over the long term). I toss a pint or so in every 5K with the oil change along with a tank of top-tier premium, ethanol free if possible. The bikes get it more frequently to keep carbs/injectors clean.

I used the SeaFoam spray on my 09 with 77k, I did notice a decent power gain after. It didn't smoke like all the youtube videos, but it is more responsive

85 octane is common at higher altitudes, and roughly equivalent to 87, because of the altitude. I'm from Memphis, at 300 feet above sea level. Have had NO problem with 85 when in the mountains of Colorado, but I refuel with 87 or higher when leaving the mountains, or as soon I return to lower elevations, ie Amarillo Tx at 3600 feet.

Our trucks are designed to run on higher octane for best performance. I run 91 in mine, and did a 91 fill-up when I ran the BG 44K through it. Might as well do it right for just that one tank.

seafoam is really a hoax IMO for fuel injector cleaner.... as far as i know it does not contain PEA which is one of the best cleaning agents for fuel gunk in injectors. Doings some research on BG44K seems to have a similar makeup as seafoam.

If you want to clean your injectors get Redline S1 or Gumout High mileage with regane... both of these have the highest concentration of PEA which will actually clean injectors.

Let us know your results. I'm usually skeptical but I've used it my '03 3.4 and it helped with the hesitation I was getting when leaving from a Red Light, etc.
I've known the parts guy at our local Toyota Dealership for a number of years and he's the one that turned me on to it. Said they use it to clean fuel injectors.

Randomly found this thread while digging through sub's.

To follow up...the BG44K didn't do a thing. It didn't smooth anything out, and made no noticeable difference in throttle response or increase gas mileage. I also changed my OEM filter over to the AEM dry flow filter. It also made not a single bit of difference lol.

My conclusion is that my fuel system may now be slightly cleaner than before, and I won't have to replace air filters every year since I can clean the AEM.

    Hope this helps!

Many fuel system cleaners use PEA (Poly Ether Amines) -- Techron and Redline fuel system cleaner are just a couple. I've never had a bad experience with any fuel system cleaner but also I'm not dumping them into the vacuum lines either. Just into the gas tank on a regular basis, not every tank but every 2-3 tanks. Will use cleaners more often if my recent driving tends to have more idling or stop and go which is when deposits tend to form more often. I probably don't need to use fuel system cleaners, but I like to use them to keep things running well, and all my vehicles have always run well. Some of the fuel system cleaners have actually increased my fuel mileage (Lucas) so there is an incentive to keep spending money on them.
