That was the second day of my commute after filling up. I had about 90 miles on the tank. Usually get about 5 round trips to work out of a tank.

I know @nevadabugle mounted his tire at the front but I can't remember exactly how. He had a build thread.

So I tried searching for this but didn't find anything so I am going to ask. Who doesn't use the QI wireless charging pad in their trucks? I personally don't because I have an iPhone and have no desire to buy something else for it just so I can utilize a charging pad in the truck. Of everyone who doesn't use the pad, has anyone thought of or tried to make a switch plate for that area instead? This is what I came up with today. Not sure I am going to keep going with it yet.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Finished up my bed cross bars and my camp shower system today after work. I can carry 65 gallons of potable water on board and still have a little over half of my bed floor available for the rest of my camping gear. All of my bed length gear goes on the cross bars up and out of the way. Loaded part of the gear tonight after finishing up so I can make a shake down run tomorrow before we head out for the beach Saturday morning. Also have the tank just under half full of water with some sanitizer in it just to be on the safe side. Gonna let it slosh around tomorrow then drain and flush it after I get back from McGregor,TX tomorrow picking up some family members.

The up rights are made from 2" channel built them the other night. I made the rail nuts today out of some 1" x 1/4" flat bar that is the same width as the base of the uprights and has the holes drilled and tapped in them 3/8"-16unc 2 each. The cross bars hem selves are galvanized 1 5/8" unistrut that I buffed the coating off and welded to the uprights. They are plenty stout I laid a 2x12 on them after installing and climbed my 200# a$$ up there along with my 160# son and shook the truck around for a bit they held so I'm happy with that.image.jpg

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
    image.jpg
The clear hose that runs to the rear is the fill/drain hose for the tank and it can be used for a gravity feed hose to wash up or what ever with out running the pump. The tool holders are made by PAC. Picked up a case of 10 of them a few years back and these were the last 4 I had so it worked out well I guess that I bought that many.
image.jpgThe shower is run off of a 12v pump (35psi 1 gpm) that plugs into either the console plug in the cab or off of the power port on my generator. The hose is a 25' Flexzilla hose with a kitchen sink sprayer on the end of it. The pump I picked up at Tractor Supply I was going to get the 3.2 gpm pump but it did not have the built in pressure cut off switch like the 1 gpm unit does. The auto cut off switch on the pump works great in conjunction with the sink sprayer for conserving water.

Did you modify those bed rails or add new ones? When I installed my roll cover my bed rails were strictly used for the roll cover and I could no longer use my adjustable bed cleats.

I use it, but I have a GS7 so that helps. I would wager the next gen iPhone has wireless charging if they want to stay competitive with Samsung.

I added a stand alone / secondary fuse/relay system so I dont have to mess with the factory equipment in case of warranty issues. I also cut the nipple to the side of the main harness and ran my wiring through that hole so I didnt damage any factory wiring. Below pic is not my truck or photo but it give you an idea of what i'm talking about

How do you like the CBI front so far? I have a front and rear (non swing out) on order that should be arriving in the next few weeks. Also, did you go with Nitro Gears? If so, did you do the install yourself or have a shop do it? Thanks in advance and slick truck! MGM ftw

Right on. Mines the same but from Hawaii. He had a brother that looked exactly the same when I adopted him. Awesome dog though.

I'm interested to see where you go with this. I plan on fabricating a switch plate for this location too since I've now filled all the other blank areas.

^Keep in mind also that this area also has power to it via the QI switch which may be used for something else.^
