    My wife and I were arguing because she though John's dad was Robert Baratheon. I had to explain how wrong she was, and when she tried to mount a rebuttal I reminded her she hadn't read the books.

    She still thinks it's Robert. Silly girl.

    Yeah I kind of like that book theory but it's certainly not the case in the show. Jonathan Pryce is too old to be of an age with Ned but he was so great as the High Sparrow it would have been a mistake not to get him for the show.

    Also just got two free months to Audible and going to start the book series. I just rewatched the entire series starting from episode 1 and it really helped connect a lot of the people and reasons you miss watching season to season.

    I've thought about starting over and watching closer together. Maybe before season 7 I'll go through them. I remember being bored in the earlier seasons and spending most of the time thoroughly confused. Season 6 had me hooked from start to finish so I figure watching the old ones now would make more sense and help fill in some gaps

    Yeah it was 5 years ago that I first started watching and didn't remember much or who people were. I've been watching it for the last 3 weeks and it really helps make all the connections in the show a lot easier to understand. The first few seasons were a bit more tame, but crucial to the set up for the later seasons and contain a lot of people/events that play an important role later on. It's also crazy to see the actors age so quickly over the episodes, especially the kids.

    Pretty cool how they did that, and also probably why it was such an expensive episode. Kind of makes it a little less epic though if you think about how much of it was CG vs actual people choreographed and acting. Makes the old movies seem even more real, like Braveheart.

    Did anyone happen to catch the 18 hours at the paint hall that HBO put out as a behind the scenes GoT piece? It's about 30 minutes long and pretty interesting look at the production.
