In all actuality if we eventually develop the tech needed to colonize another planet, especially if that includes terraforming it, we would have the capability to just fix this planet and stay here.

We need giant carbon scrubbers like they have in the ISS that takes the CO2 out of the air and breaks it down into gaseous Oxygen and solid carbon. The carbon is then turned into nanotube fibers which is then turned into a steel and wood building material replacement.

Side note: Trucks are then made out of carbon, weighing 2/3rds less but twice as strong and flexible. With electric motors, these Eco-trucks start an off-reading craze that leads to more trails. With the increase of global oxygen levels, animals become bigger and the squirrelosaurus becomes a thing.

Squirrelosaurus season is Dec 15 to Feb 15th.

Hope it makes it also,,pray for a good booster. I have a tough time with the folded towel sun shield. Tension lines and mini reels, and flimsy looking appendages that we hope fold out like they are supposed to. I know,,the best and brightest are working on it and they have done more with less, and I duly give credit,,but,,a golden piece of corn floating in space on a used napkin. I am guessing there wont ever be a servicing mission to it. 1 roll of the dice,,make it count.

Blue Origin is launching (and hopefully landing) their New Sheppard rocket for the fourth time today at 9:45 EDT. They will have a live webcast covering the event.

They aren't in the same league or category as Elon Musk's Space X, but their innovative design and the fact that this is all privately funded is very impressive. Just FYI, Jeff Bezos is the CEO for Amazon so if you have ever purchased anything on Amazon, you have probably help funded this in some small way.

I have seen footage of previous launches and have even been to their West Texas launch site which is about 25 miles north of Van Horn (middle of no where) Texas, and witnessed a test firing of the BE-3 engine they are currently using. Pretty cool stuff. Friendly, and ironically down to earth people too.

Watched it live. My new Bogs shoes I bought thru AZ Prime last week funded probably 1/100,000,000,000th of a sec worth of flight time,,maybe. One things for sure,,it lands alot better than the Space X machinery. Gives me the heebie jeebies when I see the Falcon come screaming back down and then grabbing the E-brake, which flopped again recently. Gotta watch those Amazon Prime deals. Some are screaming cheap and really good,,but some are a giant ripoff and they are starting to outweigh the good deals. Done with the Prime I think. There was a job listing on Blue Origin for a heavy haul driver,,but someone snapped it up before I could apply.
