yeah dude that drift was huuuge but we were up there around noon so I figured better to take the time to bash through it then try to find another place to go camp. I knew the res would be packed. We actually made it through in less than 30 min!

Went up with two Heeps and ran Deer Creek, Swan River. Started lightly raining about halfway through. Clouds weren't great for photos, but it was fun. Trails were mostly clear.

Red Cone looks good! This sled hill in front of me is the top of Radical Hill (I'm pretty sure).

Snow at the top of Swan River (I think) This was trying to climb up to the cabin that is at the top. Someone had been down the trail at some point, but the drift was wet and wasn't going to budge even for 37s.

Swan River before the descent towards Georgia Pass. There is a legal bypass to the lookers right.

So for the most part, you can get from Montezuma, up Deer Creek, down Swan River over to Georgia Pass. It was posted that it was clear, which was for the most part. But after you descend Swan River there is a large snow drift that is NOT easily passable. Maybe it was when they cleaned and "opened" it this past weekend, but the snow has melted, and there are large rocks buried in the snow. It was a bit of a chore to get through it and I am sure with the rain that was going after we got through, it'll be a mess again.

Awesome, great pics, some of my favorite local trails. Was St. John closed?

Is that the one that you take a right off the main road when you are in Montezuma? If so, yes i was told that it still snow covered.

Yup, I have actually never been up Deer Creek b/c St. Johns or Radical are usually better options, but if they are not open, you have to get up there somehow!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there was another large snow drift across the trail further down to the right from the overlook picture on Radical.

Deer creek was pretty mellow. A few rock features, but nothing to stress about. Just maybe slow down a little.

Pretty high chance to flop that one, even winching up it is sketch, as is backing down once that far up.
