Name that tool

My granddad worked for the Stanley Works back when all of their tools were still made in America. I've inherited some nice stuff from him over the years. I just found one that I have no idea what it is/used for. I thought I see if anyone on here (OZ) might have an idea what it is.

this is like "ask this old house" where they bring some oddball looking thing out for the crew to guess what it is.

 

They're a Saw Set. It's basically a set of pliers for holding a saw blade's teeth in place while you sharpen it.
The saw set ensures the teeth are 'set' at the correct angle for a clean cut without binding.

Lol. I have a similar set for my old Disstons, but they're a different design.
Mine look basically like this:

 

I would have just grabbed them and started crimping shit. Looks like it would work on some sheet metal.

 

You can also drag an image into the search bar on google and it'll do the same/pull up similar ones. I do this every so often with my photography to check for unauthorized usage.

 

Thanks guys. I knew someone on here would know. Funny I picked up a couple of handsaws of his recently as well. They weren't stored together so I had no idea they were related.
