Work Restroom Etiquette

An old one, but I called out the coworker who did this in front of the whole office, lol. Made him come with me so I could show him the extremely complicated procedure to refill the dispenser
Since then it always gets refilled

 

Buddy of mine had to call me to bring him some TP in the restroom. It was fun tossing him one square at a time screwing with him!

I work in the apartment industry and have seen my share of nasty shit but this one takes the cake. We had this eviction one time which in NC is a two month long process between serving the papers and actually gaining access to the apartment. When we finally got into the apartment we discovered that the tenants didn't pay their other bills either because the water and power had been shut off. It was during the summer and as soon as I walked in there was this ungodly smell that made me gag immediately. It was a 2 bathroom apartment and when I went into the first bathroom I discovered the toilet bowl was just full of stagnant piss. I guess they just kept pissing and pissing in it and since the water was off and they couldn't properly flush it. Gross enough by itself but when I went into the other bathroom I discovered where the rest of the odor was coming from. Apparently they had a dedicated piss toilet and a dedicated shit toilet. They had just shit over and over in the same toilet without being able to flush it. It looked like they layed some toilet paper over each shit so it was just layer upon layer of shit and toilet paper. A shit lasagna. It had built up so much that it was mounded up over the top of the bowl. I guess by the end they were just hover shitting because you wouldn't be able to sit down without having your ass in the lasagna. I ran outside and upchucked all over the place. It's still the nastiest combination of sight and smell I've ever come across.

I can't.

I went 3 weeks this past winter without a flushable toilet in my house due to a cold water pipe breaking and it being a long wait for plumbers. Yes, only the one throne. But good lord I at least planned taking a shit at work and only once had to do so at home in that time..and kept a bucket handy so I could get hot water from the Jacuzzi and flush.

 

I have to ask. How on earth did you ever deal with the lasagna?

 

I have been in this industry as well for the better part of 30 years now and the last 20 years I have been on the corp side Regional Maintenance Director and a Chief Building Engineer (commercial) had to get out of the Residential side before I beat someone silly for some really stupid shit. That being said in Atlanta back in 99 brand new lease up community. we had an Apt with Nigerians (8) in a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit,call the office and say they had a clogged toilet I went there on a Friday 4:45 and not only was both toilets full of shit the tanks as well as they started sitting on the tanks filling them up shitting.I calmly told them they would have to clean up the mess before I could work on them that didn't go over well the man started yelling in Swahili, he then put his hands on me I then called the cops he was arrested the wife was arrested for battery on a LEO 3 others arrested for warrants.Then is gets better the cops call the health Dept they show up and condemned the place now no place to live kids go into DFACS custody and it costs $24K to clean up the place....

At least the happy ending is those poor kids have a better situation now. Wow.

 

Luckily my girlfriend makes a badass lasagna and I'm good at compartmentalizing so I've been able to overcome it.

 

Excellent answer. What on earth did they need to do to finally clean that all up? Guessing pull the toilet of course.

It is definitely a good industry to get a glimpse into how people live. You see all sorts of nasty shit. You'd be surprised how many hot girls there are out there with disgusting apartments or doctors that just let mold grow rampant etc. I'm like you though. Some of these people I just want to punch right in the face for all the bullshit they make you deal with.
