How many miles do you get with a full tank???

Before 33s I got 19mpg usually, I would fill up at 300miles. After 33s the trip meter says 250.

But, taller tires throw the odometer and speedo off. I calculated through my GPS that it was about 11% off. I'm traveling farther than my meter is saying. So after mathing, I'm getting about 16mpg with 33s

I averaged about 22-23 MPG on my way to atlantic beach this year, not bad for a 4wd

 

I wish people would put what engine and 2wd or 4wd in the post. Without this the numbers are meaningless.

A 4 cyl 4x4, correct? If not, then was this fantastic figure a computer created one or is it the miles traveled divided the gallons to refill?

 

4 cylinder, 4x4, regular cab with a 5 speed.

Calculated by miles traveled in trip after refilling until I was running on fumes

 

About 320 miles until the light comes on.

 

4.0L V6 4WD: Traveling through mountain passes with an average speed of 55-65mph I get 19.5 MPG with 265/70/17 Duratrac's. I usually fill up around a 1/4 tank at 320(ish) miles. Around town, in summer, I average 16MPG. Winter I don't bother to track.

 

I've been pleasantly surprised with mine lately. Last two tanks were 22.5mpg each, calculated out, mixed city/hwy. Yesterday, fuel light came on at 380.

I got 281 until the light came on in my 4x4 v6 with ome lift and 265/75/16 with all pro skids. i drive like a grandma too should i be getting more??

 

At OP - I have an 06' DCSB TRD Sport I get about 310. And yes, it sucks.

Last fill up - 392 miles, 18.42 gallons & 21.3 mpg combined. I tend to drive with the cruise set at 65/70 mph on highway.

 

Best I've had so far, driving like a super great grand daddy (gotta love/hate the looks I get at the start of every green light ).

Route: 3.6 miles (55 mph) with two stop lights; 17 miles (70 mph) freeway; 6.5 miles (50 mph) with 15-20 stop lights;

Basically home<->work without any other routes.

I just bought a 2002 Toyota Tacoma V6 SR 5 and hoping to get 338 miles on a full tank.

I also own a 2007 Toyota 4 Runner V6 and get 338 miles per tank.


Ya'll think a tune up will help get better gas mileage? I have no idea when the 2002 Toyota Tacoma had a tune up last and spark plugs changed.

The previous owner only had the truck 9 months and said he didn't get a tune up.
