Who out there knows of "brackets" that fit into the bed tracks that would be compatible with Yakima (or Thule) cross bars? I have looked everywhere and find nothing.

THe brackets would need to rise an inch or 2 ABOVE the bed so items such as skis (or bikes) that are slightly longer then 5 feet would fit into the Yakima attachment on the crossbar.

Thanks in advance for info or ideas about such a thing

That particular person just cut the bars to length and used a long u-bolt to attach them to the bed cleat. Not the most stable but it worked.

Toyota does make the bars and rail attachments that fit in the bed rail system that allow you to use Yakima attachments. Apparently they're hard to get right now though. I've heard that they're being discontinued or that they're switching suppliers and that they don't know when they'll be restocked. Don't know which is true though, I just know my dealership couldn't get any :(

Ted, here is a pic of the factory cargo bars offered from Toyota. They are the same dimension as Thule bars and include mounts for Thule and Yakima attachments. In this photo I have mounted one of my bed cleats to illustrate that they are identical to the track system in our trucks......Gotta love that Toyota inginuity. :)

So I like what you have done, nice work. I just bought a 2013 and been looking all over for the bracket that attaches the cross bar to the cleat. Are they available online? Looked at all the links in here and haven't found them, also dealer has no idea what I'm trying to explain to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can mount pretty much anything on the brackets that I make.

    KB Voodoo,

Do you still make these brackets? I didn't see them listed on your website.

    Thanks,

    Bryan
