Low range lol If anything I'll probably go with a supercharger. My low end is a dog

I went climbing in clear creek today and saw one on another 1st gen. They are around but good luck finding someone getting rid of it. If your willing to drive searchtempest.com is a good way to search all of craigslist.

It was good meeting you at Rock Therapy, bud! We'll definitely have to get together often and do some wheeling. Callie and I will have to come crash Tabernasty one of these weekends and grab a seat at the local bar.

For sure! I refuse to go to the bar in Tabernash for food... it never ends well:crapstorm: Winter Park or Granby have better options haha

Finally replaced the phone with a tablet. Hopefully it will be easier following forest service maps on the larger screen.

Just two gopro sticky mounts. One on the dash and the other on the tablet. So far it's worked well with my links that are half broke lol. It's also kind of nice when you are holding the tablet to have something for your fingers to grab on the back of the tablet. Makes one hand use easier.

I don't like the Asus tablet though. Tons of glare compared to my phone and it doesn't like to muktitask very well. Usually looking to run Torque, Slacker radio, and some sort of Nav at the same time. Going to root it at some point and get rid of the Asus bs that is on it. Until money is more plentiful it will have to do.

Ran some seafoam through the vacuum line, changed the oil and gave it a little face lift. No more green... Took a look at the manual hubs to make sure I have everything. Looks like I'm missing 2 bolts and 2 washers. Decided to paint them to before I install them.

Yesterday was my first time using seafoam in my vacuum line and I am now a fan! Engine seems to run a bit smoother and doesn't feel like I'm working it as hard anymore. Usually on my commute to work I can hold 4th gear up a steady hill but can't accelerate. Today I was accelerating in 4th gear! Lol I'll take every bit of power I can get.

Well, I racked up another 1100 miles this past week. Started out with my mom coming to visit. Her flight didn't arrive until the evening and with nothing to do on Saturday I decided to go check out the Longmont Humane Society and look at the dogs they had. I really wasn't expecting to get one that day but I found an awesome pup that was too good to let pass up and hope he was still there in a week when I was back from my trip.

The first night we camped along Shrine Pass since it wasn't it was somewhat close. It was dark when we arrived and the temp was dripping fast! I'm not sure how low it got but it was a cold night! In the morning we woke up to find a great view of Mt Holy Cross.

Further down the trail we spotted 2 deer.

Our goal for the day was to see the Crystal Powerhouse. We continued our way west and went over Independence Pass.

Coke ovens somewhere on the way to Marble

    Here is the Crystal Powerhouse.

The Crystal City trail is very easy. It is a bit narrow in places with a good drop on one side. My mom was flipping out! :D

After stopping at the Powerhouse we continued through the small town of Crystal City to the Lead King Basin trailhead.

Again it was an easy trail with some narrow parts and steep drop offs. I did both trails in 2 low without an issue.

Only pic of the truck I took in this incredible place!

Watched a kayaker drop this waterfall.

    The pup, Tinder!

I thought the Powerhouse was going to be the highlight of the trip but the scenery out there is absolutely incredible!!!! Probably my favorite trail so far!

After that we continued our way west and camped in a national forest south of Junction, it's name is eluding me right now.

He decided that this was his chair.

We had originally planned to take 70 from here into Moab but found another route from Gateway. Again I can't remember the road name. (I'm too young for this! :annoyed:)

Here's a picture of the pooch enjoying the overlook on this road.

I gave my mom a quick tour of Arches and let her hike around and enjoy the 100+ heat while a sat with the pup in the ac. Once we arrived in Moab we grabbed some lunch and got a tip about a lake not far outside of town.

Kens Lake, wish I knew of this during RT. The water was so refreshing!

No more pictures from this trip since I have been to these places before.

Later that night we met up with my brothers fiance and her family who were road tripping across the country. We camped along 279, I think is the route number. The mosquitoes were HORRIBLE!

They wanted to see Arches as well so back to the Arches we went. After that they had had enough of the heat coming from Death Valley and Zion so it was time to head back to the mountains! We all crashed at my place and then headed to RMNP the next day. We saw a herd of elk and 2 sheep near the summit and wild tourist walking on the tundra to get there money shots. again back to my place and they left early the next morning leaving me with just my mom again lol. We ended up taking Tinder for a hike around Monarch Lake and then to the airport for her trip home.

After dropping her off I headed to Turkey rocks to meet up with some friends and go climbing the next day.

Now I'm finally back home with a new companion to train.

It's always nice sharing with family and friends what I am so fortunate to experience daily.

No, Vinnie was hit by a car in November. I figured it was finally time for another, thus Tinder.
