    2013 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Double Cab
    I am pretty new to this forum and just wanted to ask. What is with all of the people hating on prerunners? I have a 2013 Prerunner SR5 and was browsing around trying to get some ideas on what I could do to it only to find out how many haters there are. I dont get it. Prerunner is a great truck. I live in northern California where I have absolutely no need for a 4x4. The closest to offroading my truck see is driving over the compacted dirt and gravel at the lakes I go to. My truck was purchased to pull my boat, haul things around the house and of course look good in a lifted truck lol. The way some people talk you would think its a completely different truck from the tacoma 4x4. Here in california where I live. 4x4 Tacoma's sell for 3k-6k more where I live. The insurance on a 4x4 is higher. I personally haven't seen huge difference in the gas millage but some people say the 4x4 get a couple gallons less per mile. When something breaks on a 4x4 its more expensive. Why would anyone want to drop all of that money on something that they will never use. Ive also heard the argument that 4x4 resale better. Well I guess if you live in the snowy mountains they will, but here where I am non 4x4 tacomas are just as frequent as the 4x4 Tacomas.
