Does anyone know what size the bolt is? I'm not talking the head, I am talking about the actual metric size of the threads.

Wheeler's would probably know since they send a separate bolt with their bump stops to thread in the stock location. The stock bump stop bolt is embedded into the bump stop if you didn't know that already.

I had a feeling it was. I'm looking at replacing the front rubber bounce inducer's for some real bump stops but am looking at alternatives, possibly even utilizing the same bump stops from a Chevy Silverado that I am using in the rear...

Wheeler's front SuperBumps are only $50 for both. I just installed them a couple days ago. Approximately 2 3/4'' wide x 2 3/4'' tall. Little bit of a pain in the ass to get the supplied bolt to start threading (LCA gets in the way) but not impossible.

Quite a bit of coin just for some bump stops which you can pick up for less then $20 each at a dealer and modify to make work. The ones I am looking at are similar in dimensions, maybe a little smaller, maybe a little larger. Either way, I like having options is all.

True, but they may not be the same quality/performance of the SuperBumps...very nice when bottoming out.

Sorry to get off track of your thread purpose, but try calling Wheeler's and see if they know the dimensions. Or possibly the Toyota dealer, but that's a long shot for them to know the specs.

That's true, but knowing how the rear chevy bump stops react to a load with this truck, I would say that they should react very nicely. The things land on the stop like pillows it feels SO nice going over bumps on the rear end. The front bounces and bucks like crazy.

Good point, I'll have to see, if not I could always just pull off the bump stop myself and measure.

Just use an 18 inch pipe wrench. They come off easy.

those stops were a bitch to install with the truck on the ground.......the wheelers i mean....I really wish they had integrated the bolt into the bumpstop like the oem.

I know what you mean. I had to cut the Allen wrench they provided because it was hitting the lower control arm.
