There will always be some value. Of course the rusted framed 2g Tacoma hold their value well.:D

I tend to keep my vehicles 10 years. So resale/trade value is not much of an issue. I realize the issues posted on a forum is a small percentage of Tacoma's on the road. That said, with some of the 2g issues and the new ones, it will be interesting to see the value in five years.

I loved my 06 4x4 sport. However, I will not be purchasing a new Tacoma. They are way to high priced for what it offers.

Each to their own. If someone likes the vehicle they purchase, that is all that matters.

Why you don't sell it? I was looking on kbb and my truck worth 2-3k more than I paid for it. You probably can get your money back by selling private.

Agreed, he claims he can only get $29k private party, if its a TRD 4WD and DC I bet he can get a bit more.

usafwx: you list 5 different trucks in your profile. Do you have them all at once right now, or have you owned them separately over the years at some time or another?

a true Toyota man over the years....cool:thumbsup: I've had many brands of trucks over the years, and I've only been in two Toyota trucks now. I don't ever see driving another brand again.

Thanks! I owned a full sized new Silverado briefly for 6 months in 2014, realized WTF was I thinking and traded it for my 15 ASAP, will likely always be in a Tacoma, truck just fits me and have loved all of them, this 16 is my favorite by far.

The 2016 has been my favorite also, hope it lasts as long as a few of the others I've had in the past.

Our relationship started out a little shakey but I like my 16 better every time I drive it. But my 04 was just a great solid little truck.

I loved the 04 quite a bit, still do but I don't miss it like I thought I would. It was never comfortable on long trips like the 16 is.

Not one iota, it just makes a discussion point.

Probably like it did when the 2nd gen came out.

Some of us think about things besides lighting our farts on fire.

We called those "Blue Genies" back in the day...

Not sure what the fart lighting fanboys call them now.

GM does do this. I own a 2013 Chevy Cruze ECO and GM always has a rep account and they respond in forums to help people. They helped me with all the problems I had w/my Cruze. I had to have the headliner replaced, half-shaft replaced 3 times, trans was rebuilt at 3500 miles, 3 alignments, and a hole in the gas tank that took 7 weeks alone in a rental.

That said, after all of that we know have 32K on the car and 100K bumper to bumper warranty and have had no other issues. It's a good car and we get on average 42 mpg.
