I'm looking to re-gear my rear diff, has anyone done this, where, and how much? Where is the most cost effective location to have this done in the valley? Thanks

I was looking into doing this. I forgot, are you 4x4? if you are, you should do the front and rear at the same time..... if you dont, you will not be able to engage 4wd. (if you do, you will really mess something up).

otherwise, if youre 2wd, i think you can get it done for around $800, maybe less depending on where you take it. I dont know any shops here, but i got a quote online for the front and rear of mine at $1200. ill see if i can find the place i got the quote from.

$1200 for just the gears? Allpro Offroad has them for like $200 for each. I didnt know you wouldnt be able to use 4wd though, thanks.

no, that would be for a master kit and install. you would have to take your 3rd member out and send it to the company so you would have some down time. and Yea, you wont be able to use 4wd if you only do the rear.

i take that back.... its not 1200. its 699 for front and rear

heres the e-mail i got from the guy.

"4.56 would be good. Yes you need to change both ends. You can do the rear seperately, but wont be able to use 4wd until you change the front. We have front and rear ring & pinions, pinion flange, mini install kits, etc for $699 front and rear. Or the same but with master kits for $1075"

Okay, understand now thanks. And this is the cheapest install price you found, through an online company?

What kind of gears? Seems about normal but what do you have to pay for shipping?

Be a perfect time to put a locker in at the same time.

We do gears all the time. Give me a call.

I just did mine + front ARB with compressor. If you can do the install of the 3rd members (what I did) he will send you loaded 3rd members and then you ship back the cores after you are done. Setting up gears isn't the easiest task (about a 7 on a scale to 10 in tech). Installing 3rd members is probably a 4-5 on a scale to 10. Good luck either way!

I'll beat the prices I have seen here if you bring me the 3rd members. Give me a call or a PM. I can have them back same day:thumbsup:
