I have wanted a Tacoma forever. I finally have one. Its badass. Just as badass as the rest. Do I have minor issues with the truck? Sure, but I wont let that get in the way of the fact that I love my truck. Before I bought it, I told myself that I would keep it until it was paid off and then trade it in for a Lexus. Plans changed. I love everything about this truck.

I bought a new 2013 Tacoma and loved it (although not perfect). Then, I bought a new 2016 Tacoma and love it too (also not perfect) but I'd take it any day over my 2013! ...sweet ride :)

AC blows cold as fuck. Good handling. Reliable. Zero problem. 2TR-FE is torquey. Interior is nice.

Love the Quicksand color, never looks dirty and there's really nothing like it on the road. Easy to spot in a parking lot also.

Comfortably larger than my 02, though off road seeing over the hood is like trying to see over a barn.
Just a damn good looking truck.
Thought I would never be agreeable to switching over to an automatic from a lifetime of manuals. Enjoy the AT more and more as time goes on.
    Comfortable interior, fun to personalize.

Love the looks of it, it`s more roomy than my 1st Gen`s, seats are comfortable, rides nice for a truck, it has more cup holders than my 1st Gen`s, love the 3.5L and the AT especially after driving a manual for over 30 years.

Downside of the AT is, although my wife has her own car she can now drive the Taco too, hopefully she won`t ever ask.:fingerscrossed:

I love many things about my taco, inside and out but mostly just the way it looks. So brawny, rugged and masculine.

I mean do cars even have character anymore? What happen to that?

I love the sharp lines, the square, rectangle angles, the way "TACOMA" is stamped in the back tailgate, the way the non functional hood scoop makes its front look more aggressive.

Look at the cars now a days, most new vehicles in the last couple years and recently have been taking this very round oval shape, with a lot of black plastic on them mostly due to aerodynamics, but they look so..... boring.

There just very unappealing and not exciting to look at, what ever happen to cars with character?

Even if a Prius was the best car in the world I still wouldn't feel the same way I do about it when I look at my Tacoma. When I see my 3rd gen I get really excited to drive it, regardless if it gets okay milage, or it lacks power in the horsepower department, looking at it brings me joy. first car I enjoy washing and take pride in.

I love that I can mod it and their is literally hundreds of different mods for the Tacoma that you can't really do on many cars/trucks. You can truly personlize your truck to your needs and liking. Make it a vehicle that actually connects with you. And that I feel is something that has been lost in the new era of cars/trucks.

    Bunch of different mods
    • Sweet, smooth MT
    • Heated mirrors in the winter
    • Towing plug-ins integrated into and protected by the bumper
    • Towing capacity (double as compared to a similar sized Ford Ranger)
    • Handling on and off road
    • Surprisingly tight turning radius
    • Overall size of the truck, interior, length and width
    • Comes with Tacoma World :)

    Bilstein 6112/5160 Grabber X3's
    - Ordered exactly as I wanted: utility pack, manual, access cab, 4x4 (everything I need, nothing I don't)
    - Cheap price (let's say you get hosed, and pay MSRP, which no one does... that's still only $24,300)
    - Absurd tacoma resale value (why I didn't buy a used one)
    - Reliability (same proven drivetrain/engine/trans)

And a cool story regarding taco reliability:
We use couriers on jobsites (NJ/NY/PA/CT area), vast majority of them use 2012+ 2.7L tacomas. Their companies have 2 work shifts, these trucks are not driving for only a handful of hours each night, equating to 100,000-150,000 miles/year. The undercarriages are never cleaned, and they follow the non-severe service intervals.

Total miles avg around 400-450k before they are sold/auctioned. Never any structural rust, just surface rust, and the engines tend to start consuming oil (<1qt/1000 miles) around 325-350k miles, possibly due to valve seals, but otherwise run like they're new.

I like how the dust stays on the rear bumper, even after a long drive home

#1 "Joy every time I use it" item: Independent tire pressure readouts on the dash. I'm overly sensitive about my tire pressure and anytime I think there's some weird handling issue (on any vehicle I drive), I worry I have a low tire until I get a chance to check it. Now, click-click-click, *all good* and back to enjoying life. I usually have it up when I'm off-road so I will know if I have a leaking tire as early as possible.

Pleasant surprise: The handling on the off-road is actually quite good for what it is and better than I expected.

Several times recently I've been walking through the parking lot and gone "My! Will ya look at that bad-ass truck! Oh yeah, it's mine!". So yeah, the looks have grown on me.
