    not sure if the 1st gen U bolts are the same or not. the first gen didn't come with them in the kit but the second gens did. how much are you looking to get?

    Try a different shop. Unless something changed pretty radically for 3rd Gens, I don't understand why any competent alignment shop wouldn't be able to dial you in.

    With new UCA's and LCA's my alignment was a bitch too. It took them 4+ hours and I am still not completely happy. The steering is still off, steering wheel holds left or right, like a real old truck where you turn the wheel but nothing happens at first. It drives perfectly straight down the highway, no pulling, just not as responsive when driving slow. Any ideas?
    My cams are facing down on the driver side and up on the passenger. Thought that was strange

    That seems weird to me. I'm not as familiar with LCA replacement, but I though UCA replacement was supposed to make alignment easier? That said, you ended up with a bit more than 3" of lift, didn't you? (I know anything more than 3" makes things more difficult, but I thought mitigating that was the idea behind replacing UCAs.

    So reading the write ups on the brake line has me a bit nervous. Looks like a pain in the ass especially if air gets into master cylinder. Need reassurance that lines will install easily and bleeding isn't as hard as I'm making it out to be. Help me guys.

    bleeding the brakes isnt hard at all. once you get the line off and new ones on just use a plastic soda bottle with a hose drilled through the lid. attach the hose to the bleeder valve and have someone pump the brakes while you release the valve. repeat till there is no more air. start at the furthest corner first and work your way closest to the master cylinder. very easy and shouldnt take you long at all.

    i will be ordering lines here soon aswell. good luck.

    I agree with @carofchoice. The job itself it NOT difficult or complicated, assuming you can get the old lines to come loose. (My rear ones were a PITA.)

    One clarification I'd offer to his comments is that, on newer trucks like ours, pumping the brakes isn't required. If you turn the key on and press the brake pedal, the electric ABS motor does all the work pumping out the old fluid. (@Crom posted a great explanation here. With the exception of "speed bleeder valves," that aren't original equipment and to which I haven't upgraded yet, bleeding the brakes on my truck went exactly as described.)

    I know I'm making it out to be much harder than what it's going to be, just a little nervous from other posts saying how difficult it was for them. Lift is sitting on bench in shop, tires at discount tire until Tuesday and brake hose at FedEx 20 miles away until Tuesday. :annoyed:

    I can relate. I've also been nervous tackling some of my mods. As long as they're not fused, brake lines are pretty straightforward. Take your time and monitor the fluid level when bleeding. You do NOT want to run the reservoir dry. Given the size of our reservoirs, however, that takes some doing.

    Sounds like the census is yes, do longer brake lines and the the Goodridge 2-21155 is the right set. I hadn't planned on doing lines but there seems to be plenty of those installing the OME lift who are doing them.

    I ran (2" extended) Goodridge lines on my 1st Gen for years with no problems, and upgraded to them when installing my 2nd Gen lift last week. In addition to peace of mind when upgraded suspension reaches full-droop, SS lines improve pedal feel/consistency and provide much greater durability than the OEM rubber ones.

    The part numbers listed above (2-21154 for 1st Gen and 2-21155 for 2nd Gen) are correct. IIRC, AutoAnything had the best price when I bought my 1st Gen lines. More recently, jet.com had the best price ($92, after 15% coupon) when I bought my 2nd Gen lines.
