Why not look at sway away? They are pretty much icons without the stickers. And typically about $300 to $400 less. Another brand is leapers. Same story on them.

i'm learning here so humor me please why won't the ome rear shocks dampen the dakars properly? i would think since both are made by ome they would have designed them to work together. as i'm considering a ome kit i find this interesting i'd rather spend money once

The dakar springs are known to be at their best when you have about 400 lbs in the bed or a beefy aftermarket rear bumper or they ride rough. Old man emu designed their shocks to control the dakar springs but they can't control the harsh ride from "unloaded" springs. The icon 2.5 vs shocks are huge compared to the old man emu shocks and can handle the harshness better. Old man emu are a great mid-range suspension choice. Icon is a premium option and provides a much higher ride quality.

Good deal. Just didn't want you to think I was trying to talk down or over simplify things. Just thought I would elaborate on your post.

I mean ideally, you could have a set of kings custom valved to be a match icons or even custom valve icons to match kings. Or just take the easy route and order them off the shelf to fit the needs/wants. I chose a middle ground and ordered custom valved kings to stiffen the lower speed stuff, yet keep the stiffness of the higher speed stuff. I like stiffer suspension on a truck. May not ride like a caddy but it's much more predictable.

If someone gets offended at talking about suspension, be sure and pass them a tampon

Not at all. I was just trying to present the little information I know, so your elaboration was perfect.

Thats a great price for the ATO. They are beefy skids and I paid way more than that for mine. GLWS, I am sure it will find a home soon.
