    I believe the temp light comes on at 260+ degrees F, that trans fluid is toast.

    I've read that Toyota has set the light to come on at 300*F. :eek:

    I think it might be higher than that. Unfortunately, hydraulic fluid starts to break down at +250*F.

    I agree with you. That fluid is ruined.

    Do some research and you will find the manual is wrong, even if it weren't the trans isn't something you really want to take chances with, it's a pain in the ass and expensive to fix once you fuck it up.
