Just picked it up and had to put the stickers on it when I got it back to the house.

SnugTop is located roughly 15 miles away from me, you might be closer to 4 weeks with shipping.

Keep us posted on the reinforcement project. The dogs will be happy when the shell gets installed, they don't like riding in the kennel so much.

Aluminum Windoors (T-Bold handles), Kargomaster rack (#80070) that mounts directly to the canopy. Removable fixed front window. Carpet headliner.

Looks like a solid setup. Not 100% satisfied with the install. Wiring wasn't very tidy and one of the windoors doesn't latch unless you press on one side of the door to allow the latch to catch. Otherwise, I think it is going to be great!

Can someone show the wiring hook up? I am thinking of using the trailer wiring plug and play for the third brake light. Trying to pick up a cheap used aluminium universal fit.

Thanks for all the pics and discussions. As a newbie to the bed shell world, this has really helped narrow down the models of toppers to look at. One thing I haven't been able to easily find are the load ratings.
As a photographer, I'd like to be able to attach a rack and platform to the top of the shell that would support my weight. I guess, if it could hold an RTT and occupants, it can hold me, but I haven't seen what the practical ratings are for the Leer 100XL or ARE CX. (I understand ARE has the CX HD which could support a decent amount of weight, but can these be equipped with windows instead of storage boxes?). I have been exploring options for a rack on top of the cab that can support my weight, but that's a whole different thread. Thanks in advance!

Here's mine with the ARE MX series shell. I really like the "outdoorsman" side windoors with the air vents in them. Super handy. The only thing that really bugs me is that it doesn't seal very well at all and the back can get really dusty after driving down dirt roads.

Not sure that I want to repeat this often, but this week my wife and I both stepped on the roof of the cap to retrieve a swarm of bees on a tall tree branch. Together we are over 350 pounds. I have the ARE cap with the OTR coating. Didn't buckle :)

I've lost most of the factory rake in my Double cab short bed OR after I put the leer on it. Any of you guys noticed this? I've just ordered a icon system and I am woundering if the more leveled look of the lift will actually leave me squatting a little in the back. Anyone with icons ,the three leaf packs and camper ? I'd love to see and hear from ya.

Yes, when the shell was installed the rear dropped enough that I noticed a change in where the headlights were hitting. I have a short bed SnugTop Rebel with the reinforced roof. I don't have an answer on the suspension upgrades, but it is something I will have to figure out eventually. When fully loaded with all the monkey chow the family requires when traveling, the rear settles noticeably. I'm thinking the correct solution is a higher spring rate in the rear but I haven't started getting in to the details of my options; too many other projects first.

From what I've seen following that thread, the various "extra long bump-stop" designs are generally setup so they don't make contact when at rest. That way the ride isn't affected when unloaded. With a shell, you are sort of "loaded" all the time. I don't know if the Sumospring etc. are right for this use. My other concern is if they will reduce articulation when off-road enough that it's noticeable. Note these are questions, not conclusions. Like I said, I need to do some investigation of the various options.

I gotta ask. Why did you want to retrieve a swarm of bees?!
