    Another nurse here. I work on a med/surg/tele floor with an occasional trauma patient. Get to see some interesting things being at a level 1 trauma hospital.

    I'm not a nurse, but Iv been a paramedic for the past 6.5 years and the answer is yes!! Had a morbid obese patient with bilateral lower cellulitis and was ate up with maggots. Pt. had a huge pile of weeping fluid sitting on the hard wood floor. Reminded me of when you kick an ant bed and they start running around. Iv had plenty of decomposing body's with maggots, but it's nothing like someone alive with them.:bananadead:

    Tonight and Tomorrow night are my last shifts for the holiday weekend. It'll be the first 4th -o- July i've had off in 4 years.... Any of ya working on the 4th.... sucks to be you.... But, I do hope it is safe and relatively uneventful.

    Been in all around the units as a float Nurse for 10yrs (pre-op, post-op, gi lab, icu/ccu, ER). Now Very happy at Keck USC tele/thoracic floor. Nice to meet you guys!!

    In my class of 60 there are 7 guys including myself. It seems high but the average is somewhere around 7-10% or so I read.
