Michelin LTX M/S2 was a great tire on my 4Runner for 99% highway use.

    nothing cool
You're going to need Super Swampers. I'm thinking Big Foot/Grave Digger size tires. Great for daily driving.

Or get the Michelin LTX like me. But whatever. I'm boring. Get the Swampers.

Cooper at3. I had both a set of LT on my tundra and a P on my 4runner loved them both, now I have ST MAXX on my tacoma that I drive daily and for being somewhat aggressive theyre very quiet.

I too just got some LTX M/S...They are now called the Michelin Defender LTX M/S
I got 4 tires installed balanced etc at BJ's tire center in massachusetts for $793.08 with TPS re-used and all other costs..That includes $70 off coupon.

I commute about 80 miles a day on them. I went from the stock Dunlop AT20's to these. I have no noticeable difference in MPG...I get 20-21 mpg highway doing 70-75mph cruise control the whole way.

They ride great. Quite, solid and comfy :)

Graber HTX and Uniroyal Cross country tour are great all season tires for the price. Good choices for no off-roading, like Michelin is.

...^^^... IIRC ... the old LTX-MS2's are now Defenders ... love this tire ... great in rain and snow too ... check stats on TireRack or other sites.

$70.00 Off at COSTCO, BJ's & SAM's ever few months one of them has a sale and Discount Tire matches COSTCO here.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Most of my driving will be strictly highway, so it looks like the michelins would be the best for daily driving. But damn, those BFGs sure do look nice!

My last two sets of tires on my '07 were MS2s. I could never get more than 35K; they would start dry rotting real bad after 3 years.
    YMMV

My truck had AT3s when I got it, 265/60/18, on the highway 20-22mpg, they currently have 33k miles on them, tread depth 3/8-5/16

I've been impressed with the wet handling, recently got caught in heavy rain on Skyline Drive, the truck went where it was directed. Driving down the ridge on rt64 water running across the highway, other vehicles were obviously hydroplaning the Taco was point and shoot accurate.

Haven't had that issue, but I drive 20K+ a year so they wear out before they fall apart.

Cooper AT3s. Fantastic road performance and capable off road. Good compromise without compromising much if any. I have the new michelin defenders on my santa fe....looks to be a great tire as well.....only 1200 miles on them so far though.

Now considering the Coopers. Looks like a great tire with great reviews as well.

    I plan to them again.
Different size though, to go with the lift.
