I’m sorry I’m late to the party but I just stumbled across this thread now and i apologize that it's quite lengthy

I will list how the transaction went and will let you guys decide.

how much shipped to zip 58271? thanks
    Ner-d-s, Jun 19, 2016
I'm shipping a TRD oil cap tomorrow from a UPS store so I will will get a shipping quote then. I'll message you as soon as I get home from that tomorrow. Probably around 10 a.m. CDT. 11 a.m. at the absolute latest.
    JoCoQS, Jun 19, 2016
The UPS store provided two quotes, one via UPS and the other via USPS.
    UPS shipping > $21.12.
    USPS shipping > $15.07.
There is another party interested in the doors, but you are ahead of him, but would you let me know if you're interested as soon as you're able?
    Thanks,
    JoCoQS

thanks for getting a shipping quote for me. Would you do $90 shipped and paypalled through usps?

    Hi,
I sent an email earlier. Not sure if your received it. Would $90 shipped and paypalled through usps work? Thanks again for getting the shipping quote
    Ner-d-s, Jun 20, 2016
Forgive me for seeming like I'm out of it, but between Alerts and PM's I am pretty lost on who has been asking about what.
If you are referring to the locking Bed cubby doors for $90, shipped via USPS, then I would accept that. I will be checking my profile again for any messages around 6 p.m. CDT.
If this is correct send me your shipping info and I'll send you my PayPal email. As soon as I see the funds I'll get them shipped.

As soon as I see the PayPal funds (I'll check a few times tonight so I can ship the doors as soon as possible) the doors will be on their way.

    Ner-d-s, Jun 20, 2016

Got it. I will actually try to get it shipped tonight since the UPS store doesn't close until 8 p.m. Otherwise, I will get it sent when they open tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
    JoCoQS, Jun 20, 2016

I MAY have been a little premature. I'm speaking with a PayPal customer service rep right now because I am being slammed with some extra fees that aren't depicted on their website. It may end up that I refund your payment and you remake it. I will let you know.
    JoCoQS, Jun 20, 2016

    No worries. Keep me posted
    Ner-d-s, Jun 20, 2016

    Jessie,
It took the rep a while, but he finally discovered why I was getting hit with a higher fee. The payment you sent was from an international location. International locations have higher seller fees when using PayPal. I don't have an issue selling and mailing something internationally, but I would appreciate being advised of that up front. I thought I was going to pay a 2.9% of the $90 + $.30 for the transaction, so I expected to receive $87.09. I am only going to receive a few cents over $86 AND since it's an international sale I am required to wait 21 days to access the funds. Suffice to say I am not happy about how this transaction transpired.
FYI, International sales are charged a 3.9% transaction fee + a fixed fee based on the currency received (I assume these fees are lower for currencies that are easily converted to U.S. dollars and higher for currencies that are not easily converted).
I will still ship the doors since I already said I would, but do not bother contacting me again.
    JoCoQS, Jun 20, 2016

I'm sry i was not aware of the international service charge. I requested to have the doors shipped to a US address to save on shipping. If it's really bothering you I will accept a refund and you can sell to the next person in line. Sry for the inconvenience.

    Jessie,
According to usps.com the doors were delivered today. Could you confirm.
    JoCoQS, Jun 24, 2016

    Hi
I received confirmation from the receiving facility that it was delivered
    Ner-d-s, Jun 24, 2016

    Jessie,
I am having great difficulty with PayPal. I still have not received payment for the cubby doors. Would you please call PayPal and advise them you have the doors in your possession? I was just informed by a PayPal "customer service supervisor" if they had that information it would assist in speeding up their "payment process."
    Thank you.
    JoCoQS
P.S. The PayPal supervisor claims PayPal has attempted to call you and email you, for what that's worth.

I just spoke with PayPal customer service and they informed me that the funds will be available on the 30th of June.

    Jessie,
I see you were viewing the XPOTRPR thread just 43 minutes ago. I would very much appreciate if you would contact PayPal and advise them you received the bed cubby doors. I STILL haven't received payment for those doors and I would prefer not pursuing legal action against PayPal. I have better things to waste my time on.
Would you please advise me whether or not you intend on doing this so I can plan my next actions accordingly?
    Thank you.
    JoCoQS
    JoCoQS, Friday at 10:26 PM

I have already spoken to paypal and they informed me that you should have received it in the 30th as per my email to you.
    Ner-d-s, Friday at 10:38 PM

    Jessie,
I am on the phone with PayPal right now. Did you advise them you had received the doors? What date did you speak with PayPal? I'm sure you want me to stop messaging, and quite frankly would like to stop messaging you.
    JoCoQS, Yesterday at 11:52 AM

I need to know exactly when and where you picked up the doors.
    JoCoQS, Yesterday at 11:57 AM

I have been in contact with PayPal. Call them asap
    Ner-d-s, Yesterday at 1:00 PM

    Jessie,
This WILL be my final message to you.
I just spoke with a PayPal supervisor, AGAIN, and I received some additional information. Because YOU wanted to avoid an import tax on MY doors you provided me a completely different shipping address than you provided PayPal. The result is that I do not receive any payment for an extended period of time because of your greed.
I wish I had a time machine, and could go back in time, because I guarantee I would not sell to someone who is not forthright and causes undue delay for, what should have been, a very simple, and straightforward, transaction.
Be happy with your free bed cubby doors.
    JoCoQS, Yesterday at 3:30 PM

I explained to you that I wanted the doors shipped to the US address to save on shipping not to save on duties. FYI it was paypal who would not let me enter the US shipping address on their website which is why I sent you a message to have it shipped within the US. I have made many transactions this way with different sellers and you have been the only one who has had a problem. I'm sorry that this transaction has turned out the way it has. But the doors were not free. Pay pal has both our money. I gave you the option to refund me the money and sell to the next interested party. You chose to send them anyway. I have not appreciated your tone/manner in some of your messages toward me and yet I have tried to help you get your funds from paypal. This will be MY last message to you. I should have listened to your advice and not have contacted you when you TOLD me to. However, I sincerely hope you get your money from paypal.
    Ner-d-s, Yesterday at 3:49 PM

I have removed his name from the conversation but have left my name to show I have nothing to hide. Whether or not tacomaworld members decides to have future dealings with me or not that's ok with me.

The transaction took place on the forums here. There was a for sale thread in the 2nd gen marketplace.

If you want to understand the OP just read his third gen posts. He seems to fly off the handle for things quickly. I mean here he basically gets upset at the buyer over $1 and then loses his shit when the buyer is trying to figure out what is going on just as much as he is.

Anyways, after all the butt hurt, I'm guessing OP will have his money shortly.

    Oh and

@Ner-d-s how I see it your good and did nothing wrong. Seller is a bit of a bitch (lack of a better word). Crying over a few dollars and a bit of a wait for funds to go thru. Seller has all this time and energy tied up for a few bucks. People are weird.....

That extra 1% is HUGE...... o_O

OP needs to chalk this up to experience doing business in an international marketplace. Buyer was upfront with where he wanted items shipped to and paid promptly -- nuff said. If the seller has issues with the transaction fees take it up with Paypal.

So all this madness has been over a dollar and some change, and waiting 21 days to get payment? If this is what upsets you in life OP, you are gonna have high blood pressure and be stressed out for nothing. It looks like the buyer did everything right. Dude, let the dollar go, you can make that up by not buying a soda or coffee one day, and you will get the payment, it just will take a few days. It seems all this is a paypal issue anyway, not the buyer.

I wasn't going to respond, but your ignorance overwhelmed me so much I have not choice.

I'm not guaranteed I will EVER receive payment. That is according to several supervisors I've spoken with from PayPal.

The purchaser provided me a completely different shipping address from the shipping address he provided PayPal. That raised red flags with PayPal. Since the buyer provided a different shipping address to PayPal, they are waiting for a delivery confirmation to THAT address, not the address the dishonest buyer provided me. Hence, with no tracking number EVER, going to be provided for the shipping address dishonest boy provided PayPal, the funds will probably never be released without a concerted effort on my part. An effort I should not be required to exert. So all you pinheads that think I'm complaining about 1% can pound sand and go back to your blow-up dolls for some more self-pleasure.

OP I'm sure you'll get your money. If you haven't received it exactly on the 30th keep in mind the holiday weekend and money moving through international channels. The buyer appears to have been fully cooperative with you in this matter contacting Paypal himself. If you didn't feel comfortable shipping to an address that wasn't a Paypal verified address associated with the buyer's Paypal account that's on you.

Now.....to add the very first name to my ignore list. Bye.

When you are dealing wih PayPal you need to deal with verified users and also need to be a verified user yourself. When you get payment with a shipping address it will show if you are shipping to a verified address. If you choose to ship to a non verified address and something goes wrong then there isn't a whole lot that can be done. You have to treat every transaction just like a business transaction. At a business you wouldn't accept a check from someone whose address didn't match their driver's license so the same goes with this. If you want the protection they offer you have to follow all the requirements needed for a transaction. If you choose to ship to nonverified user's or a nonverified address for someone then you accept the risk. I've been verified for 16 years with PayPal and never had an issue dealing internationally on my side or the other user's side. The verification is for both parties protection. You wouldn't want your bank to not verify someone would you? Same thing goes with PayPal.

You are highly likely to get paid next week. If you end up getting somewhere around $85, then this will just be a lesson learned on the cost of doing business.

From this it seems the OP is whiner. Sounds to me like nothing more than PayPal holding funds that it normally does with non verified accounts. They also say there is a chance that you won't receive your money because outside of eBay I believe they can't gaurentee the transaction. OP I'm sure in a few days you will receive your payment. If the buyer was trying to scam you, I highly doubt he would be in contact with you outside of receiving the item.

Plus here's the meat and guts of PayPal. Paypal is not a credit card processor. They are basically a loan company and the percentage is your loan payment for the instant transfer. They are giving you their money and expecting payment back from your bank or credit card. The higher risk they take just like a conventional loan the more you pay in interest (transaction fee's). You lower their risk of you are verified wih your bank account because they can pull the money back if payment isn't received. A international transaction is more rush for them because they are dealing with a company that is outside of their country and falls under different laws than them.

When you initiate a transfer your bank account shows a ACH debit initiated. That doesn't mean they paid PayPal that means it was initiated. The bank doesn't pay them for a few days. Therefore they are loaning you the money for instant payment and being verified they are securing the loan for repayment.

When I sell something and agree to take funds via PayPal I always have them select the "Send money to friends/family" option. There is never a fee associated with it.

It sounds to me like the buyer was more than reasonable. I dont think the sellers baseless accusations helped the matter. He even offered to take a refund and cancel the transaction and the seller still sent the item.

Paypal sucks. They operate as an escrow company basically. I used to sell things on ebay ocassionally, but wont anymore because its just so difficult to get paypal to release my funds. Even after the buyer has confirmed delivery and left feedback, paypal always seems to add another hoop for me to jump through for me to get my money. I realize its because I am not a regular seller on ebay or paypal, but its just not worth the hassle anymore.
