I know there's a TSB for the '09s and previous for the rear suspension, but does anyone know if the '10s came stock with the upgrade? Is there a way to tell by looking at the rear leafs?

Dealer checked leaf springs. Have same numbers as previous TSB. Have appointment for new springs tomorrow.

Hes saying that if your spring part numbers are the same as the spring numbers on the TSB, it doesn't matter what year your's is, they will usually do it for you.

OH! My dealer would not do that on my 2010, they say the TSB says for 2009 and you have a 2010...no go at this station!

I guess I'm confused on what the TSB actually is. Is the TSB suspension different springs all together or just an additional leaf or something else?? If so where are the part numbers on the springs to verify?

The TSB is actually for 2005 to 2008 and is T-SB 0305-08 Rev 1.

Mine is an '09 and I had the work done. The dealer I go to basically says if Toyota thinks there is a problem and then comes up with a fix for that problem, we will take care of it per their instructions.

Ok, that's what I was trying to figure out, if the '10s already came from the factory with the improved suspension or not but I guess they don't. If I'm going to aal the rear i'm guessing pursuing the TSB is not worth it??

I just checked my 2010 and sure enough, it has 3-leaf springs. Damn. I'm going to try the 1 800 number first and if that doesn't work, I'll try my local dealer.
I bought my truck in Minneapolis and drove it all the way to Wichita,KS with the stock rugged trails and firewood in the bed. The cab was also loaded down as well with Christmas presents. I didn't notice any bottoming out but I plan to haul heavy stuff with this truck and I'm going to get this fixed. Thanks for all the info guys

Here is a pic of the part numbers I took off my leaf springs. I saw some people were wanting to see a pic of where the numbers are so I thought I would post it. I also want to have my ammo when I talk to the dealer on Monday. Good luck everyone with getting there's done.

That's great, thanks for those pics. Does anyone have any idea if I would have any additional resistance for having it done on a leased truck?

New springs this morning. Ride seems a little better. The service manager stated that if the part numbers are the same as the previous TSB he could order and replace. No real difficulty getting change other than initial visit to check #s, second to change springs.:)

I checked the dealership today and found that only the TRD packaged Tacomas had the TSB done.. the Basic Tacoma's did not. They had the 2 leaf (with the overload leaf) and the block bottle rocket shock absorber.

Are you saying the '10 TRD models had the TSB done at the factory? I haven't checked the numbers yet but mine only has 3 leafs.

Did you make a specific complaint about "harsh ride" or whatever or did you just ask for the tsb to be done?
