Look up the grey wire mod. I think it's a little different in 09s though. Something to do with the ATRAC. I didn't bother cause I like 4 Lo just fine.

If you're stuck enough or doing something burly enough that you'll want the locker on, then you'll probably want to be in 4Lo anyway...

thats odd that i can only have the locker when in 4lo. almost seems pointless to have a locker. i will be using the lsd so much more.

why would you need a locker in 4 hi? i dont have a 4x4 but anything at that speed, wouldnt momentum just get you through it?

I've only needed the locker while offroad in 4LO...

Pointless to have a locker until you need it... ;)

I use the LSD when needed or just flip the switch to 4HI...

The locker combined with ATRAC has taken me places I couldn't have gone otherwise...

I love all the options on my '09 TRD OR 4x4, and I've used/needed them quite often here in the CO mountains...

You're a bad man. My truck is on jack stands in the driveway and hasn't seen a dirt road since before Thanksgiving :(

I believe an ARB Locker would be a nice addition to my prerunner. I have had mostly 4x4 trucks in my past, and with a locked rear in my 2WD I feel I could most of the stuff I needed 4x4 with. :D

Why?? If you are locked in the rear your turning radius is limited by that- so what does it matter if the front is engaged or not?? (I think that diff is always open unless you put an aftermarket locker in it....)

    TRD Off Road/ rear locker
    TRD Sport/ LSD rear
09-10's have computered controlled "LSD" rear ends, which is the same as all trucks without a locked rear. So you get both options with the off road

I'd like to see the locker active in 4hi. My dad's silverado tears the mud with his Z71 package. I'd also like to see the locker available in the sport DC long beds...
