First time using Plastidip. It turned out pretty good. I rushed a bit so there are a couple spots I'm not totally excited about. If it really bothers me I will redo it.image.jpg

I was the same as you and not excited about a couple spots so I removed mine and sprayed them. My OCD kicked in. I'm much happier now.
It was my first attempt also.

Super easy. Almost scary how easily it comeseems off. There are 2 bolts (with Philips screw heads) that hold it in. On top, there are 2 plastic arms that attach to the core support. Take them out. Iirc they are 10mm. Then 2 black push pins on the corners (top) of the grill. A flat tip screw driver pops them up and they pull off the top completely. Then the whole assembly pulls forward

Not sure if been asked recently, but for those of you who dipped the grill, how has it been holding up to the rocks, bugs, wear and tear, etc?

My husband and I plan to dip the grill this weekend. Is this the top coat you recommend? I saw a couple of others that seem to like it. Thanks!

I just used that on my grill and rims. 5 coats Plastidip and 2 coats of rustoleum clear. That stuff is glossy.

Did it seem to bond and dry up ok?? My husband read the Rustoleum can and it said not to mix with other plasti-dip manufactures so now he is nervous about mixing the two. Grill is dipped, thought we would let it sit overnight then put the glossifier on tomorrow. But it looks like I need to find a can of the Plasti-dip glossifier. Have you guys had any problems with mixing the two?? Thanks!

    None :-((. Yet :-))
So I finally got around to der ping the Taco today. The badges came out great. Eight coats and peeled off very well. However the rear bumper end caps were a different story. I have a parking permit sticker which can't be replaced so I tried taping it off all seemed good until I tried peeling the tape from the permit. Now I have a 1/2 section of chrome showing on the left cap. Do any of you der ping pros have any suggestions? Can I just touch up a small area, or should I peel it all off and redo the left cap? If that's the case any thoughts on preventing it from happening again. Perhaps I should put an American flag sticker over the blemish.

A mother question is does this stuff dry hard, because it feels a bit tacky and seems it will gather dust. Do I need to be careful when waxing the truck?

So many questions I know. First time deeper is my only excuse

The nozzle sucks with this brand. It's comes out as a stream rather then a nice even spray. Found out the hard way. Plastidip for the win.
