Tinted here... 13 years in FL and have only gotten 1 $100 ticket for tint (did not remove it). It is essentially mandatory, and even in S FL summer the A/C is more than adequate on level 1 (whereas no tint means constantly blasting the A/C).

Tint on the windshield is moronic. So unsafe. I would light you up and ticket you in a heartbeat.

(If I was a LEO, which I am not) :D

I went with legal but Ceramic tint on mine. It includes the front windshield but is clear. I don't need additional reasons to be pulled over.

I wish I could have decent tint on my side windows. Living in Cali sucks. It will be 108 tomorrow :bananadead:

Not yet... But this is on my very short list. Even in a relatively cool state the internal heat can get brutal in the summer.

SoCal here. I have 30% on mine, all the way around. Can't do summer without it.

Its a must here in the Georgia summers. I bought my truck used with the tint on it already. I dont know what percent it is, maybe 10%, Maybe less. Ive been pulled over once for it, I ended up knowing the cop so he let me go.

Wife just got a new suv 2 days ago and is taking it in today to have the driver and passenger windows done. I drove it and felt like I was a vampire being hit with sunlight.

Actually lots of people are doing it down here to keep out the UV rays. Most people are doing it so @ 50% and you really wouldn't notice it. Also it's supposed to keep the dash board in better shape.

I can't imagine not having tinted windows im from Florida living in Texas now. It's hot as crap in the summer both states. One of the best investments on the truck.

18% on everything other than the windshield. 70% on the windshield itself. Keeps just about all UV rays off my interior. The wet okoles haven't faded one bit. I've been running this for almost two years now and no tickets.

I disagree that windshield tint is moronic. Dark tint sure, but a light tint to block the heat and harmful rays while still having great visibility? I don't see what's wrong with that.

Tint makes a big difference, especially in a regular cab.

Yup, I live in MA but we get 2-3 warm months. My Colorado had I think 30 on the rear window. Really noticed it when I got the Tacoma that it wasn't and had it done soon after. Both were regular cabs.

Gets to be 110 in NorCal and I have like a 35% tint all around. Still super shitty because black truck but makes a night and day difference compared to no tint

Had my front tinted as close to the factory tint on the rear windows about a week after I bought the truck in 2013.

Being in California tint is a requirement, however not legal. I dread the day I do something to get a ticket for it but it only cost me $50 for the two side windows. Also had my wife's car tinted and they also tinted the front window with a light almost clear UV protected tint. Would recommend the front be the lightest tint you can get for the UV protection, that limo tint on the front is about the most dangerous thing I have seen to date. Might as well spray it with black spray paint a leave a square to to be able to see:) (Please do not do this!)

Hope he doesn't get into any accidents with that tint. Insurance company won't help him out very much.
