What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I did that a few times, too, just to see my new LED turn signals blink.

Not today but last weekend we went to Redfish Lake.

 

LEDs are a big improvement. I have not done turns yet because of the resistor. Not because of the wiring or anything, just the added cost to do it. It won't be long and someone will make a bulb that will work without mods I'm sure

Someone in a different thread mentioned that this long needle will work with filling it up. I need to find it again.

 

Guy's, help me out please. I want to get a tonneau cover and I need to know if this a base model, pre runner or TRD Pro....I doubt it's a pro so is it a base or pre runner? Or if you can tell me where I can find this information. It's a 2015....if that helps!

 

Gonna say sport going by bed decal. Definitely not base just going by wheels.

 

I have a TRD Sport and by those options, it's base. It's not a pro and not a prerunner. Ive made a bunch of online purchases using base as the option and it's worked fine.

 

Although it is a Sport, when ordering parts the model option is considered a base. Really though, I don't know why they need to know for a tonneau because all of those options have the same bed.

As long as you're ordering the correct size cover; 5ft vs 6ft, then I would think the trim shouldn't matter? So since you have an access cab the bed size is 6ft.

It should say pre runner on the tailgate if it is one.

When it comes to buying a cover the only important info is long bed. Prerunners are 2 wheel drive six lug trucks. Base covers all the 4x4's that aren't designated with a special title like Pro or limited.

 

Is it 4x4? If not, it's a PreRunner. As several others have mentioned, it won't make any difference whether it's a TRD Sport, an SR5, or a base PreRunner. The beds are all identical.

 

A lot of times when you're buying parts online or in a parts store you have to go through all the specs before they can look up the part you need even though you just need a oil filter for your V6 they still want to know if it's a manual trans, four-wheel-drive, pre runner.
