6 inch rough country lift kit, Kings shocks front and rear, Deaver leaf pack, 4xinnovations shackle flip, 6 inch shackle, front, rear bumpers , rock sliders, warn winch, 35 inch tires
Broken axle or CV, maybe a bearing or something. When something breaks in the front end it usually fuxks up steering

The shaft inside the axle tube can break as well

Went to start my truck this morning and it wouldn't turn over :( Took three or four attempts at cranking it several times over for it to finally start to catch, then I had to give it gas to get it going. Once I did that, I kept it running and drove around the neighborhood for awhile, got back home and tried starting her up again and everything appears normal. Bad battery? I used a cheap tire inflator I have at my house that hooks up to the cigarette lighter in my truck to even out the PSI in my tires last night, didn't run it for more than 10 minutes total but I'm wondering if my battery is on it's last legs and that inflator just made it worse...

FWIW I have a red top optima battery, no idea how old it is but I've heard they've gone way down in quality over recent years...

Could be the battery for sure. I would carry jumper cables in the mean time until you sort it out.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Wouldn't start like good battery not start or wouldn't start like slow crank? That'll tell you whether it's battery or not.

If the truck wasn't on and you used that inflater I'd bet that's what did it. Always run the truck when using a compressor.

If you go to the auto parts store they'll test it for you. Better that than getting stranded.

It turned over normally but just wouldn't catch, finally slowly started catching then once I gave it gas it came alive normally. Smelled like burning gas coming out of the exhaust too which sort of freaked me out but given how many times I had been trying to start it/crank it I probably just flooded it a little.

Yeah I had the engine off, that's more than likely what did it. The box for this particular cheap-o compressor says not to run the engine but that's probably what killed off the battery.

I would but they're all closed today :( I'll take it in first thing tomorrow

    @eon_blue @Sandtaco

So Celina and I are talking about heading up to Rowher in a couple hours to drive up Lookout and see what fireworks we might see.

You guys think it's worth the journey?

Ughhhh stop tempting me haha, I'm supposed to go to a friends house party. Might have to convince my gf to do the same :boink: Does sound like a good idea, you'd be far from the city but I'm sure there will some personal backyard firework shows going on all around there.

The rangers will likely be out in full force making sure no ones up to no good, be a good idea to have a forest adventure pass to be safe

    Remember?

The top of look out would be sweet too!

I'll let you know, I'll run it by the gf but shes pretty set on this other party lol. Plus with my battery issues this a.m. I should probably play it safe. But I'll still make an attempt at a case
