I'm soon to be in the market for a 95-00 Tacoma. I've been looking at some and thinking about maybe getting one stock and putting what I want on it. Looking at the American Racing 15x8 black wheels and either 31x10.50 or 32x11.50 tires. How much lift will clear 32x11.50's? Who's running them?

^^^ thats without any trimming at all. With just minor trimming (pinch weld mod youl clear 32s fine without any lift. Less backspacing and 33s.

Heres 32-11.5-15 on stock wheels with no lift. Didnt rub at all after 5mins of trimming.

If you do decide to go with a lift though a 3in lift clears 33s so i think a 2in will do for 32s. . .

I run 235/85/16's on my un-lifted 03. They're just barely 32" tall. No rubbing at all. I'm debating whether I need to lift it at all - good clearance and I like that pizza cutter look frankly. If you go with a wider tire, all bets are off.

Thanks guys. If I get one that's stock I'll probably stick with 31x10.5. I don't like the cramped looked of the 32,s with no lift. If I decide to lift or get a truck with lift I like 32's. Thanks again. It's hard to find these trucks in good shape that people isn't asking gold prices for.

Here's my 2000 tacoma stock height. I don't know about you but my truck didn't come with 31 stock tires. I bought after market rims and new 31 tires and it sits higher than my friends 98 tacoma stock tites/wheels. Haven't had to adjust a thing. Huh, I didn't know that. Well I think 31s look good If they have good tread and look even better if they are on some after market wheels. I am not a fan of the stock wheels(or even the tires) that older tacomas have.

31's will be a lot nicer on your truck also. 32" is where I would argue you need to regear.

I have a 4 cylinder. My plan is to put 32s on it after a lift (undecided which lift) Do you really think it's necessary to regear if upgrading to 32s??

I'm running 285/75r16 on a 3 inch lift. Only trimmed a small piece. Took about 3 minutes.
