I'll try to ask my friend this weekend. When would you be going? Are you talking about actually relocating there, or a temporary gig? I can't remember exactly what you said when this first came up.

 

I could basically start in a weeks time if I wanted too. Have the option of Auckland, Christchurch or Queensland. I'd have to do atleast a year there with the option to relocate permanently.

I'll touch base with my friends (he was my Director of Operations for a few years) this weekend. They were stationed in Christchurch IIRC. What I do recall is his wife (Dr Debbie, an english professor) always says they're moving back to New Zealand whenever she gets mad at our gov't, which is ever more frequent these days.

I'll ask the question and let you know. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about New Zealand. My buddy Bryan went there TDY for 6 months and said he seriously considered going AWOL and staying when he had to come back.

 

Back from the wilds of Northern Maine.....not really happy about that.
